About the adventure

I am a leaf on the wind... - Crew your own ship. - Explore the sector. - Fight the power. Live free or die in a fast-paced, rules-light sci-fi setting that's Forged in the Dark. You can be up and playing in minutes, with a ship, a crew and a job, ready to go and explore the stars. Based on properties including Firefly, Killjoys, Cowboy Bebop, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Star Wars (Rogue 1 and Andor), Scum and Villainy follows the crew of a ship as they make their way in a harsh galaxy, dealing with corrupt nobles, strange aliens, criminal gangs and the ever-present Galactic Hegemony. Wield your wits, your weapons, and the Way to win the day and live forever as legends!

How to prepare

You will need access to free Roll20 and Discord accounts. The Roll20 room for the game has a copy of all the rules and helpful handouts to get you used to the rules and system. you don't need any books, dice, software or cuddly toys - although you may need the latter in case of particularly scary sessions...

What I provide

I will bring you the universe (and all the baddies therein!) In all seriousness, I have a very functional, friendly, and welcoming Discord community, a pro-subscription on Roll 20, and plenty of ideas...

Gameplay details

Presence of a content tag is not a guarantee. Lines and Veils are ALWAYS observed. There is no space at my table for racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, or transphobia. A Lines and Veils document goes out before all games to new players. A full onboarding process is available on my Discord server. We generally use Roll20 for our virtual tabletop and Discord for Audio. On occasion, there may be the option for video and audio via Zoom, but video is never compulsory.

How will character creation work

Character creation in Forged in the Dark games is a collaborative process and involves the crew and the ship in this case, so everyone does it together - you are free to discuss it on Discord in advance, and I definitely won't use anything you say as horrifying plot traps later in the game.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
