It’s time for another week of news, spanning the worlds of dragons and fantasy to sci-fi dystopias. All of those adventures and more are available on StartPlaying, where professional Game Masters are ready to take you on an epic journey. But before you set off on this weekend’s quest, onto the news!

Dungeons & Dragons Team Will Add More Cultural Consulting To Its Design Process

In a recent D&D Beyond blog, Christopher Perkins once again addressed the problematic Hadozee content from Spelljammer: Adventures in Space. This time, however, he went into how the feedback will affect the process of the D&D team going forward. Perkins declared that the studio will now have outside cultural consultants review every text, art piece, and map at multiple points during a product’s development. Spelljammer itself will also be reprinted with the new Hadozee errata added in from this point forward.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Coming To Official TTRPG

R. Talsorian Games announced a very smart move this week: it will be producing a Cyberpunk RED starter set based on the hit Edgerunners anime. The Edgerunners Mission Kit will use the RED engine but feature new lore, cyberware, firepower, and netrunning abilities based on the 2077 era of the world. RED’s default setting is 2045, so this will be the system’s first foray into the 2077 period popularized by Edgerunners and the Cyberpunk 2077 video game. No release date is set yet, but R. Talsorian promises more updates in the future.

The ADHD Experience Is Recreated In This TTRPG

Tabletop role-playing games are a great way to step into the shoes of someone with a different life experience than you. Playing roles is right there in the name. And while you usually want to adopt the role of someone cooler than you that has special powers, they can also be used to give players perspective on a real-world experience. That’s what happens in My Brain is a Stick of Butter, a solo journaling game about living a week with ADHD. Players try to live out a simple week completing activities like chores, socializing, and a job, but a roll of a die or unlucky card draw could cause a sudden distraction that erases all progress.

Pathfinder Society Teaming Up With Toys For Tots For Holiday Event

Paizo’s organized play community is running an event called Toys of Boundless Wonder from November 25 to December 10. Certain game stores will run Pathfinder Society game nights and will also double as Toys for Toys drop off locations. Players can donate toys that will go to families in need, and those who participate in games will earn bonus achievement points that they can use to unlock new character options faster. To learn more about which stores are taking part in the event, and how to play in a special Pathfinder Society Adventure, check out the Paizo blog.

That’s it for this week! Thanks for reading, and don’t forget to check out Startfinder for your Pathfinder, Cyberpunk, or D&D needs!
