StartPlaying is thrilled to announce this month's charity event: Spread AAPI Love! Every month, StartPlaying Game Masters take part in special games where proceeds go to a charity of choice. As May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we're teaming up with Stop AAPI Hate.
From May 1st to the 31st, StartPlaying GMs can opt-in to run sessions where 100% of the proceeds go to Stop AAPI Hate. StartPlaying will match what GMs collectively raise up to $1,000. Additionally, StartPlaying will waive our standard 10% cut from bookings for these charity games. Join us in helping Stop AAPI Hate and Spread AAPI Love by signing up for one of these charity games all throughout May!
This event is also a great chance to learn new games like Avatar: Legends or play with a new GM! Just look for games that have the "Spread AAPI Love" tag on their thumbnail. Please help us support a great cause and have a great time while doing it.
Stop AAPI Hate is a U.S.-based coalition dedicated to ending racism and discrimination against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAs & PIs). We strive to advance the multiracial movement for equity and justice by building power for our communities, working in solidarity with other communities of color, and advocating for comprehensive solutions that tackle the root causes of race-based hate.
