Amazon Warhammer 40K Series With Henry Cavill Is Officially Underway
Former Superman Henry Cavill is making big progress on a Warhammer 40K series with Amazon. According to an Instagram post, the star recently celebrated a major milestone for the show by visiting the first store he ever bought Warhammer figures from. He says in the post that, after much time spent in development, Amazon and Games Workshop both approved a starting point for the show. No other details were given, but getting two companies to agree is a great launching off point for an IP-based product such as this.Â
Itch.io Accuses Funko Of Taking Down Its Website
Independent game marketplace Itch.io posted to Bluesky on Sunday that its entire site was taken down because of Funko. The post alleged that the Funko Pop parent company uses a “trash AI powered Brand Protection Software called Brand Shield.” Itch.io continued to say that Brand Shield filed a Phishing report to Itch.io’s domain registrar, causing the entire site to be disabled.
Funko and Brand Shield responded to say it wasn’t their fault and that they were just taking action against an imitator of their Funko Fusion game page. Funko also asserted that it reached out to Itch.io to clear up the issue quickly after the Bluesky post appeared. The matter seems to have been worked out, as Itch.io is now back online.Â

The Marvel RPG Starter Set comes out on January 24 for $34.99 and includes an adventure titled “Escape from Planet Hulk.” Included will be branded dice, a condensed rulebook, a power reference booklet, six premade character folios, maps, hero standees, and tokens for NPCs.Â

The Limited Edition features an orange vs. purple motif that extends to the included GM screen and card box. Meanwhile, the Standard Edition has a modern movie poster aesthetic with several character heads floating above an action scene. Both are available for pre-order and will ship in Spring 2025.Â
