Meet the Game Master
About me
Hello! I have been a forever GM throughout my childhood and the 17 years since. I have run games in systems such as D&D 3, 3.5,4 and 5e. Pathfinder 1e and 2e, Warhammer fantasy Roleplay 4e, Dark heresy, Imperium Maledictum, Savage worlds of various settings, and Through the Breach. I have spent the most time DMing for D&D 5e over the past 8 years, but have recently been deeply enjoying pathfinder 2e. The games I run tend to be uniquely versatile. I rarely run two games that feel the same, and I enjoy letting my parties take the reins to tell elaborate stories. I take pride in deeply learning the rules for the systems I play so that I can maintain a flexible playstyle to accommodate the adventures my players will have. My games often bloom into more than a routine D&D session, and instead become a true adventure to share among friends, full of Highs and lows alike.

Proficiencies
Players say this GM is great at:
Storytelling
Creativity
Inclusive
Mail is an excellent DM. His passion for the game shows through in his player engagement, story telling, and world building. He shows an immense amount of dedication to making games run smoothly and making them as fun as possible, not to mention he is also very patient and supportive of inexperienced players, whether that be for new game models or TTRPG in general. He has worked closely with players to provide unique experiences and is very willing to indulge in the expected tom-foolery of your average party. 10/10 would always recommend!
Really really good GM highly recommend! The campaigns are always super creative, fun and engaging. He really likes to make sure all players are comfortable and know what’s going on. Very beginner friendly and he doesn’t make you feel dumb for explaining things you don’t know or understand. Thank you for making my D&D experience safe and fun!!
Mail creates engaging storylines and lore that is very immersive. There has been plot twists that have literally blown my mind and looking back were well foreshadowed if I had been paying closer attention. I feel like my player has always had agency in the world and has had an effect on both the campaign itself and what the DM envisioned.
Character creation
Creating your character
We will be going over character creation together during session zero, where we ill also have a chance to test your characters out in a very small series of 3 encounters. The characters will be created inside of foundry, and you will not be required to bring any resources with you.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need a microphone and a discord account. The virtual table top will be browser based and easy to access, the suggested browser for the program is google chrome. You do not need to read the rules ahead of the game, however I do encourage you to do so. There are also many comprehensive youtube videos about how to play as well; however I will be teaching how to play a table top game from the ground up. Webcams are optional, pre made characters will be available or you can create one before the session starts.
What Suede Wheeler brings to the table
I will be providing the Virtual Tabletop for us to use, maps/tokens and anything we will need for character creation. I will also be including ambient tracks, music and sound effects, as well as in character voicing of both NPCs and monsters. With this adventurer being a tutorial I plan to keep things simple enough and flexible enough that you will not have to be concerned about possible rule mistakes. This adventure is intended to include mistakes and moments of learning, and the focus will be on dipping toes into all 3 pillars of RPGs, being action, exploration, and roleplay.
Homebrew rules
We will not be using any homebrew rules, however we will use the optional crit tables.
