About the adventure
"Thunderous wings beat in the distance. A cacophony of terror and despair follow in their wake. Oh what a beautiful sound, the sound of change, the sound of ruin. On wings of destruction we go forth!" Tyranny of Dragons is an epic story told across two adventure products, of which this is the first. Characters begin at 1st level, and by the end of Hoard of the Dragon Queen, they should be 7th or 8th level and ready to continue with The Rise of Tiamat. Tyranny of Dragons is set in the Forgotten Realms on Faerun’s western shore—the Sword Coast. A thin strip of civilization stretches down this coast, where widely spaced cities are arranged like beads on a string. A combination of roads and wagon tracks loosely connect the cities that stretch from Luskan in the north to Calimport in the south, passing through Neverwinter, Waterdeep, Baldur’s Gate, and other great ports along the way. The bulk of this adventure takes place on the stretch between Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter. Joining part way through the campaign is acceptable, but any player who joins within the day of the session will have to wait until the next session to join, just for the sake of easing into the campaign.

How to prepare
Players will require a mic for communication since the primary platform we will be using is Discord. Webcams are not required but can be used if the players feel the need to. No prior knowledge will be required, but will be heavily encouraged to speed up game time, but any and all questions will be answered no matter what. Discord Account Needed Roll20 Account Needed
What I provide
I have access to many modules and official content to share with the players for no extra charge. I create the vast majority of my maps so there will be a quality of passion behind my work that I feel players will appreciate. Also currently I have many artists to recommend the players to if they want their character portraits more specialized. As a bonus some of these artists are willing to offer discounts for any player I refer to them.
Gameplay details
Players can expect a variety of both combat and roleplay encounters during this campaign. Players can also expect a variety of rule sets designed to make the players consider choices more carefully. Exhaustion will feature more prominently in the campaign if the players are too reckless, and the world state will change for better or worse with their actions.

How will character creation work
