About the adventure

Something strange is happening to your hometown of Willowshore! Nestled on the banks of a river winding through the legendary Specterwood in Tian Xia’s haunted land of Shenmen, the people of Willowshore are no strangers to supernatural threat, but the danger that comes to town on the first day of summer is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Over the four seasons to come, you and your fellow home-grown heroes must face evil spirits, sinister fiends, and frightening curses, lest the town of Willowshore succumb to the Season of Ghosts! This adventure takes place on the continent of Tian Xia, an Asian inspired continent with many other folklore thrown into the mix. The campaign takes place over the length of 1 year and focuses heavily on the relationship between the players and the other villagers. This adventure is a story heavy horror campaign.

About me

Hello, thanks for clicking on me! I'm Milo (he/they), 27 and obviously love D&D. I've been playing Dungeons and Dragons for well over 7 years and DMing for 5. I got into it because fantasy has been lacking in a lot of places, and I mean to fill those spaces. First and foremost, I care about your comfort. Every person who I DM for has to fill out a checklist of likes and dislikes, along with possible triggers. If you don't want it in the game, it won't be. Secondly, I am all about fun! I want to make sure every person participating is having fun and is engaged in the story. Third, this is all about you. This is your game experience, and I'm going to make it as great as possible! I am LGBTQ+ and BIPOC friendly and open to people of all walks of life. If you want a fun, immersive game with a DM who is willing to take criticism and up for almost anything, you've come to the right place.

He's a super fun DM, very helpful and patient when i was still a noob, and he allows me to unleash a little bit of chaos when the occasion calls for it. >:3c He brings the drama to the NPCs, which i love!

I've had Milo as a GM for a few different campaigns so far and he NEVER disappoints! Super interesting stories, fun NPC interactions, just when you think you have him figured out and you know what direction the story is going he gives you a left hook out of nowhere! I was, and still am, new to DnD and Milo has had a lot of patience with me and helped me understand anything I can't figure out, as well as suggestions to make the game play a fun experience for everyone. I would highly recommend him for anyone wanting a fun time!

Milo creates inclusive environments and fun/rewarding experiences! Lots of communication from DM to players, so world immersion is very easy. He is very helpful if you get stuck and need some ideas, but he will also let the party guide the direction of the campaign. The online community he built is very friendly and welcoming too!

The great thing about Milo and these games were how welcoming they were to me.

Character creation
Creating your character

The pathfinder player's guide will go over everything you need to know about making your level 1 character. You will make your character in pathbuilder, a free site that gives you the full options for your character. In this campaign, we will be using free archetype and leveling up our characters in Foundry, the virtual tabletop I use to portray the maps, characters, and effects. If you have any questions or need help with making your character, I will sit down with you and help you make the character you want. During the campaign, if you have any questions, I am here to help!

What to expect
Preparing for the session

I ask that you look over the Season of Ghosts player's guide in full to get a complete understanding of the setting, themes, and character options. Requirements: - headphones (necessary to stop feedback during gameplay) - mic - a decent computer with a mouse - a Pathbuilder, and discord account (all free to make)

What Game Master Milo brings to the table

I am a creative GM who will allow most things if it's fun and won't break the game. I like to move between dramatic, silly, horrific, and light-hearted, at a moment's notice. My GM style has been described by my players as flexible, story driven, patient, easy going, fun, creative, and atmospheric. I bring characters to life with fun voices, interesting backstory, and complex motives. All the maps I use are from some of the best in the biz and are always interesting. I use Foundry because I believe it's the best TTRP on the market at the time. I will always take the time to explain something if you don't know, and try my best to make fair judgements.

Homebrew rules

We will be using the free archetype option, as I feel it gives characters more options and fleshes them out. I am open to player's using uncommon and rare character options as long as you talk to me about them first.

Safety
How Game Master Milo creates a safe table

I have all of my player's fill out a consent checklist which asks about uncomfortable areas in gameplay. I have an X card on Foundry which allows people to stop the game if they are uncomfortable.
