In golden Flame : Act 1
In a crumbling system abandoned by the corps that built it, a golden signal pulses from deep below the ruins—bright, beautiful, and deadly.
About the adventure
Welcome to Calliope—a dying star system abandoned by corporations, forgotten by Union, and teetering on the brink of collapse. You are elite militia pilots, sworn to protect the only home you have left: a hardscrabble frontier where pirates, corporate warlords, and apocalyptic zealots fight for dominance. When The Faith of the One Plumed in Golden Flame, a dangerous doomsday cult, begins making moves, your squad is thrown into the middle of a battle to stop the apocalypse before it consumes everything. Whether you’re fighting for your found family, your station, or just one last chance at survival, your choices will shape the fate of Calliope. Expect high-intensity mech combat, tactical operations, and deep character-driven storytelling. In Golden Flame is a campaign of survival, rebellion, and loyalty in a world that refuses to die quietly.

About me
Hello hello! If you are here then you might be thinking of playing one in one of my games. I really appreciate your consideration so why don't I tell you a bit about myself? My name is Originalname but my friends call me Ori or Original. I have been playing D&D and other tabletop rpgs for 5 years while I have been Dming for 4 years, I pride myself on the fact that all my players have had fun in my campaigns, be it because the tone and atmosphere were really engaging or just because we have had a lot of fun due to the myriad of shenanigans the players are able to pull. I love dming and I have dmed for both newcomers and veterans from the Advanced Dungeon & Dragons era, I like to think that it's never late to learn how to play D&D while I also enjoy challenging both the dice andingenuity of my players. If you are paying for Dming services, you should be getting the best of the best and that's why i will give it my all to make every session special and fun for my players.

Boy howdy. My original long running group fell apart - life happens - and I had just brought a new character into the campaign. I’d been planning the character for so long and was very disappointed that I only got one session in with him. I came here looking for a campaign to drop him in and found Ori. To say that I couldn’t have foreseen a better outcome for my character would be an understatement. Ori helped me achieve goals that I’ve had in this game for the longest time. Good gameplay, very knowledgeable, very fair, and overall a pretty stinkin cool chap. 5/5 would recommend and I will definitely be dropping into another game. Hats off Ori, thank you for everything!
A fun start to the campaign! Original did a wonderful job setting the environment of Barovia with choice music and wonderful choices of phrase to imply potential dangers. When we got into combat, we had a fun taste of what Barovia will offer with great cinematic flavoring from Original. A wonderful start, and I can't wait for next week! --------- Update: I am now 12+ sessions into the campaign and I am absolutely thrilled with Original's DM style, a great mix of fun and ominous. Combat is somehow incredibly balanced despite our wacky collage of abilities. An absolute joy to play each week.
Original understands the core idea of what D&D is to many people, which is to get a group of people together and just have fun. He is very good at reading the players that he has in his games and adjusting play so that everyone has a great time. I have played in quite a few games on SPG and right now this version of Curse of Strahd has to be my favorite so far. I would definitely recommend this GM to any of my friends.
Ori is fantastic at setting the scene and then letting us decide how to solve whatever is put in front of us. I've never once felt railroaded and as long as there's rules for it, he'll let you do anything that you can think of. His fights are dynamic and he's very good at dialing in the difficulty to make it feel like you're overcoming whatever he's thrown at you. And character customization? His rule is that if it's in the rules, go ahead and do it, not matter how nasty of a combination of mechanics that you come up with. When my current campaign is over with him I plan on immediately picking up another with Ori.
Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation in my Lancer campaign is a guided and collaborative process, handled during Session 0, before gameplay begins. This ensures all players have time to build characters that fit the setting, establish their backstories, and understand the system mechanics

What Originalname brings to the table
run my games using Foundry VTT, delivering a seamless and immersive experience with custom isometric maps and handcrafted encounters tailored to the players' choices. Expect a highly cinematic and tactical combat experience, where positioning, terrain, and environmental storytelling all play a role. I focus on player-driven narratives and emergent storytelling, weaving character backstories into the larger plot. Roleplay is encouraged, whether through dramatic encounters, tense negotiations, or battlefield heroics. While I value tactical depth, I also embrace creative problem-solving and the Rule of Cool, ensuring every session feels impactful and dynamic. With ambient music, sound design, and immersive descriptions, I bring the gritty, lived-in world of Calliope to life—whether it’s the neon-lit corridors of a space station or the battle-scarred ruins of a forgotten colony. Expect a custom-tailored experience, where your choices matter, combat is challenging yet rewarding, and the world reacts to your actions.
