Meet the Game Master
About me
Hey, David here or you can call me Fey as most do. About 5 years ago I got into D&D, getting a local group of friends together to give it a try. I jumped straight in as DM since it was my idea. Well its 5 years later and I have truly learned what the curse of the forever DM means. But in truth and all kidding aside I simply love it. The game has come to mean a lot to me and the many players I have had the pleasure to DM for. I run my games on Roll20 with voice comms through my Discord server. Which is where u will find the wacky yet badass little community of players from my past and current games. There is a wonderful community atmosphere within the server, some players have even wound up meeting in person after becoming amazing friends in game.

Spending time at Fey's table is always a blast. Regardless of whether it's a beautifully crafted chaotic one shot or a sprawling campaign. Never leave the table disappointed without a smile on your face. Will always recommend any games he is running. The fact that only 3 tags can be selected is an injustice to Fey as all apply to each of his games.
Fey pairs gorgeous animated backgrounds and thematic music with reactive worldbuilding and engaging storytelling, to create a deep and satisfying experience for his players. As someone who has played in three of his homebrewed 5e one-shots, I was delighted to see how he factored the events of previous games and character decisions into each new story. 11/10, *absolutely* recommended.
I can not praise Fey enough he is truly an amazing DM. He runs well balanced games with engaging combat and meaningful role-play while still allowing time for shenanigans. He also makes sure to add elements from backstories pulling you into the game and making it truly immersive. I have laughed, cried, been terrified and everything in between. I highly recommend his games, so do yourself a favour and join one. I hope to see you soon.
David/Fey has been the best DM since I started playing a few years back. I have played 3 Campaigns with him so far and each time he caters the game to the players at the table. One game was more of a laid back "rule of cool" fun time while another was a RP heavy sandbox game. He works with players to help craft amazing storylines and is extremely helpful and patient.
Fey is a phenomenal DM - he knows the rules, he puts loads of effort into building his games, and they're just so fun overall! As a specific example however to show that dedication; Fey built a whole adventure/campaign around Eberron from scratch (Maps, Creatures etc) - just to tie into the back story of my character. The party showed an interest in said backstory, and Fey built the world around it - and it was amazing. Highly recommend this dude! (+ he has an Irish accent; who doesn't love an Irish accent?)
I was introduced to Fey after joining his game in 2020, we were a group of players with various experience levels. This game quickly became the highlight of my week, with insightful role play and meaningful combat, we as a party collaborated to make a memorable campaign with Fey steering the helm. I think without his DM style this could of just been another game, going through the motions until the module was complete, but Fey was able to involve the characters in the story, blending backgrounds, relationships, and the module seamlessly into something grander than I had taken part in. As for preparation and his use of the tools available within Roll20 he always seemed to make the adventure seem alive, throwing himself into the story, playing out the NPCs and knowing their nuances, all with vibrant maps, dynamic lighting and epic music. I have now completed my second campaign with Fey and would recommend anyone, given the chance, to jump into one of his games.
Character creation
Creating your character
Players may participate in a 'Session 0' for character generation. Characters can be created in Roll20 using the full access you will have to all the books i own through my compendium.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players should have a microphone, and should have an account on Roll20 and Discord. Joining both the game on Roll20 and my discord server. Please be sure to create a character before the session.
What Fey (David) brings to the table
I utilise Roll20 to the fullest extent i am capable of. Using handouts both for information or lore as well as beautiful artwork to give you a visualisation of the game. You will gain full access to all my books for creating your character. A wide array of different maps with dynamic lightning and ambient sounds are just another tool used to feel like your in the forrest or Colosseum itself!.

Safety
How Fey (David) creates a safe table
Players can expect fast-paced combat and a fair rules game with solid storytelling. Most of the above content warnings are capable of being hidden behind a line or veil and I am more than willing to implement those systems to protect the people in my games. The most important thing is that this is an inclusive LGBTQIA+ safe game with respect for the people who are playing. While this is a dark setting we are all here to have fun and to craft an interesting story together - I will do my best to facilitate that. We go over lines and veils and the expectations for players to respect those limits during Session 0.
