About the adventure

Sitting in the tavern, again, you take stock of your life so far - you have not fared well, despite years of experience the riches and wealth and fame have not happened. You don't even have a magic weapon! Such dark thoughts and a dwindling pile of coins on the table drive you to your feet. "Enough of this guarding, patrolling, killing beasts and men! Time for a real heroic quest that will make me famous!" The story so far.....An ancient area of Barbarian Altanis, containing two volcanoes – one active, one dormant. Eruptions over time have created a fertile land with large woods and forests. An ancient fortress on Mt Deception was built by the dwarves to protect against the evil creatures from the Elemental Plane of Fire, and the Planes of Hell, who found a portal in the volcano through which they could enter the prime material plane. Legends persist however of the dark past and strange mysteries that inflicted this land. The elves recorded tales of a Druid Grove and a Sacred Tree; dwarves tell of an ancient relic forged in the volcano and of a great battle that created a swamp filled with the ghosts of dead soldiers. Fey creatures once lived here but are now 'lost', and a source of ancient evil has drawn the Wild Hunt. "These are hero's quests! to right a wrong, punish the wicked, and protect the poor people of Horloch!" so saying you leave the pub with dignity! But will you really be good enough? Welcome to Badabaskor! A Judges Guild publication adapted to D&D 5e played in Fantasy Grounds Unity (FGU) Includes aspects of AD&D such as Climate, Weather, Encumbrance, Alignment, Wilderness Survival, Deities & Demi-Gods, Manual of the Planes Players will need their best rp skills and character knowledge to best the beast! The party will go on!

About me

Over 30 years rpg from AD&D to 5e, I have DM'd a wide range of TSR/WOTC modules in both tabletop and online, providing challenging and innovative encounters and stories. I am engaged by both the challenge and the unexpected from the players as they mould the adventure to suit their characters. I offer original adventures that strike true with experienced rpg players and that will fulfill their character's destiny. I have several years experience with Roll20, D&D Beyond, Discord, and more recently Fantasy Grounds Unity.
