Pirates of Vearth | Live out your seafaring fantasy!
Live out your seafaring fantasy as a heroic pirate! Travel through the unique island world of Vearth, conquering villians and growing stronger!
About the adventure
Vearth is a planet covered 75%-80% in water with thousands of islands coming in all shapes and sizes. The islands vary wildly from place to place (some areas more than others) and cover a massive array of landscapes and biomes. You’ll meet a wide range of people varying in shape, size and moral standing regardless of your chosen destination! The strongest political power in the world is called the World Government. They have been in power for roughly 400 years and are a society of nobility who descend from the original founders of the organization. They keep the peace in ways that suit their own needs and are notorious for destroying anyone who gets in their way. A crew of ragtag adventurers will band together, chosen by fate and convenient timing, to stand up against the World Government (probably) in hopes of attaining fame and fortune! ... and maybe one of those priceless Devil Fruits. This campaign is all about creating fun characters and living out your power fantasy as a gun baring, sword wielding, fancy fruit eating pirate! The party will travel from island to island experiencing loads of new things along the way as you all work together to reach your goal. This game is welcome to ANYONE regardless of experience, gender, race, sexuality, whatever. I try to keep a table that's fun for everyone at all times, without any risk of judgement. I do lots of voices and will surely make of a fool of myself so please feel free to RP your heart out. I have alot of experience with new players and am more than happy to teach anyone and provide a great first experience to Dungeons & Dragons. #1 Rule: RULE OF COOL If you have any questions feel free to message me!

Players say this GM is great at:
Creativity
Voices
Storytelling
This is one of if not THE best GM on this site! When I first started playing at his table I was new to D&D but that was no problem at all he walked me through the processes and helped guide me to making the character that I wanted. He does a good job making sure everyone feels invested in the stories even if we go off the beaten trail he always has something up his sleeve 10/10!
Taylor was such a welcoming and helpful GM all they way. My friend and I are beginners and fairly new to virtual DnD, but he made it so simple and walked us through everything so that we could settle in and really invest in the experience. Voices, combat and story were delivered so well, nothing but fun the whole time!
THE best DM for every person that could come across his table. He artfully keeps things balanced, challenging, and engaging for experienced and beginner players alike. The environment is always welcoming and friendly, stimming from his ability to make friends with everyone at the table. From going back and forth with outgoing players to providing stepping stones for more shy players to take cues from, roleplaying has never felt more natural/mutual. I cannot recommend his games enough, and play in them every chance I get. 5 stars all around ✨
Dude this guy is awesome. I haven’t played D & D a day in my life before this adventure I’ve been on. Not once did he make me feel dumb or anything like that when asking questions or help. We’re like eight in and I still ask questions and he’ll help me out immediately not getting annoyed. He’s easy going, feels like you’re playing with a friend, I could go on. If you’re looking for a chill game with a story and some badass combat. This guy definitely is the way to go.
DM is very knowledgeable about the game and takes the time to explain mechanics to beginners. Allows player creativity and doesn't try to railroad sessions. DM is great at really painting a picture of the scene and uses a ton of npc voices along with background music to give a really immersive experience.
Character creation
Creating your character
Your character starts in the West Blue on an island known as Kona. Where your character is from or how they got there is completely up to you! This is a magic-lite setting, so no full casters. To supplement the lack of magic, special feats called Fighting Styles are offered for you to choose from. This will help make your character fill their niche better and feel more powerful! - Start at level 3 - Point Buy Stats (we roll for stats later) - 2024 Classes (If you wish to use 2014 content just let me know) - No starting as a Wizard, Sorcerer, Warlock, Druid or Cleric. - Everyone will have an opportunity to eat a Devil Fruit at some point. You can create/tell me your own, or choose from one a few options I'll provide to you! - A solid, opened-ended backstory makes integrating your character into the world much easier! - No Species are restricted. If you wish to play a One Piece species, choose from official sources what you think fits best, or shoot me a message! - Feats for Haki are available starting at level 4.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I ask players try their best to create at least a basic outline of their characters backstory which I can help you with beforehand if need be! You will also need a DndBeyond, Roll20 and Discord account. You also need to download the Beyond20 browser extension. If you have any questions or need help I gotcha!

How Taylor (Beptis) creates a safe table
Players of ANY experience are welcome, I love teaching people about the game and can guarantee you will be having fun the first session! Expect at least one combat a session on average, and plenty of time to do whatever you'd like! I typically give you guys full control over where you spend your time and energy, it's your story after all! Role play is completely up to you as a player, I do tons of stupid voices that'll help direct judgement to myself.
