About me
I'm Chris, and I love doing this. I think rules are neat and there to be used and modules are fun and the product of a lot of hard work, but I've always been much more interested in the stories that find their way into being by virtue of creativity and dice coming together in fun and dramatic moments. That's why I love doing this. So come hang out, create a character, and discover what story they have to tell -- together. *** I sometimes post things on BlueSky. I don't really use any other social media these days: https://bsky.app/profile/christhewicker.bsky.social. **** I'm also available for events and games in the local Lexington, KY area!

Proficiencies
Players say this GM is great at:
Creativity
Storytelling
Inclusive
From absolute fresh-faced first time players to grizzled gnarly vets, this is a GM who knows how to ensure everyone at the table is having fun and getting their chance to shine. While his recall of any rule set hints at an impossible eidetic memory, he may occasionally struggle to remember a specific of a rule, but when this once-in-an-adventurer's-lifetime event occurs he goes with what's most fun for the players because at the end of the day this GM understands that the best games are the games where everyone is having fun and is bought in. Collaborative, improvised, live-action storytelling at it's best. Laugh, cry, gasp, shout in victory, (not all necessarily in that order) as you spin a tale that will set the standard for all of your future endeavors.
I'd tried to play D&D before but gave up after finding the rules overwhelming and intimidating. But after talking to Chris, he created a character that I love and made playing simple, easy, and fun! His world is complex, his NPCs entertaining, and his game is surprising and exciting. I think about the game for days afterwards and am always eager for the next session. I highly recommend him as a DM, especially for anyone new to D&D.

How WickerGames creates a safe table
Short Version I'm not here to run an edgy table, or to make anyone feel uncomfortable or belittled. I expect everyone to behave like adults who have come over to friend's house for dinner. ******** Longer Version - Lines & Veils are welcomed to be discussed before the game begins. Players will also be provided a google form version of the Monte Cooke Consent in Gaming checklist. - My personal Lines & Veils are: Lines - No sexual assault of any kind will be depicted by the players or the GM. Veils - Explicit sexual or romantic content will be handwaved or treated in a "fade-to-black" manner. - A 10/15-min breaks is taken every 1.5-2.0 hours regardless of total playtime.
