About the adventure
A peaceful seaside town has learned that a nearby tribe of peaceful lizardfolk has started acquiring some not so peaceful shipments of weapons. The townsfolk desperately need a group of stalwart adventurers to find out... Are the Lizardfolk preparing to attack? What has made them take up arms? How can the peaceful townfolks avoid a bloodbath? Or...maybe...is something MORE sinister going on? Or perhaps even...something slightly LESS sinister? Join a tongue in cheek version of the classic D&D adventure "Danger at Dunwater" with a strong focus on storytelling, silly fantasy adventure and comradery. For 3-5 characters at level 3.

About me
Welcome! I run games with a focus on story- telling fun, engaging, exciting fantasy adventure stories where you get to be the hero (or the villain. Or somewhere in between…). I have a strong focus on role playing, an even stronger focus on fun and even stronger focus on you- I want to run a story that is most exciting and engaging for the group of people at the table. New players are welcome! I’ve been running rpgs like D&D for family and friends for many years both online and in person. I've played D&D since 2nd edition but I'm a very rules light DM. If you know every spell and subclass and weapon's damage die, I'd love your help, but my focus as the DM will always be on story and character (and jokes. Too many jokes). It’s one of my favorite ways to hang out and spend time with folks, and that’s the vibe I’m going for here. So gather your party- we’re venturing forth!

Creating your character
Please let me know if you'll be generating your own character or if you want a pre-generated character. We'll be starting at level 3. Ideally you'll try to build your character before the session, but if you need help I'm glad to help you out! Feel free to use whatever character creation tool you feel comfortable with, and please try to stick to character creation options listed in the players handbook.

How Soapy the Righteous creates a safe table
In order to have a fun time playing together, we'll need to be on the same page as to what fun looks like for the people playing around the digital table. For me, what's primary is that folks respect one another while we are playing. We'll do some norm setting around what respect looks like for folks playing to make sure we're all on the same page. At the end of each session, we'll check in about how it went and if there was any feedback for me or other players about any lines that were crossed to adjust for the next session. At any point in the session, you can send me a private message on Discord, flagging and X, N or O card to notify me about how you are feeling about a particular moment in the game.
