About WickerGames
Hey y'all, I'm Chris. I'm a late 30-something Game Master from and currently living on the edge of Hillbilly Nation in the state of Kentucky. For a little north of the past 20 years I've usually been actively running, or thinking about running, some sort of tabletop roleplaying game. In 2003, I started running games because no one else wanted to play the game I wanted to. Then in 2024, I decided to take the plunge and try asking complete strangers to *pay* me to play make-believe for a few hours every week. To be completely honest, I still have a hard time understanding why, but after a couple of years of doing this at a professional level I'm starting to accept that I might be good at it. I'm a shy person by nature. I have mild stutter, plenty of anxiety, and enough self-doubt to go around -- but I also love being a Game Master. It's fun, it's creatively rewarding, and I'm constantly getting to meet and learn about new people, places, and things when I do it. Listen, I re-wrote and deleted huge chunks of this. I want to respect your time and try to make your experience fun. I want you to feel like you can relax, have a good time, and get engaged in creating a fun experience that makes your 3-ish hours with me a highlight of your week. Everything else is just set dressing.

When I'm not running games I'm...
Tending to my porch plants, consuming some sort of media, or cooking. Usually with some combination of my partner, our two dogs, and cat-shaped roommate.
How WickerGames runs games
Your actions, your consequences. Regardless if we're running a module or a completely homebrewed adventure, my goal is to let the players choose their path through the challenges they'll face. Top help us get there I like to run a relaxed, friendly table filled with visual references and tools that are intended to make playing online easy and immersive. During the game you can expect: - A customized virtual tabletop experience. - Maps, handouts, and other visual aides. - Voiced NPCs (of varying quality) - A 10-15 minute break roughly halfway through the session. - A game that reacts to your actions and choices in the moment.
WickerGames's ideal table
Encouraging! I want you to feel comfortable to roleplay and engage in the ruleset and I love players who lift each other up. The vibe I try to project at my table is coming over to a friend's house for dinner: relaxed and respectful.
