About the adventure
New Player Friendly | Witchcraft | Grim Heroism | Deep Lore | Rare Setting We should have acted, they are already here, the Eminence of Araunt told of their return, their defeat was merely a delay for in the time after the worlds were sundered. When the children of Rashemen would spill Thayan blood. No one wanted to believe evil arrives wearing a friendly face corrupting Rashemaar tradition into a weapon. Now, spirits wail in the night, neighbors go missing. The land itself groans under a darkness greater than war. This is a tale of a people divided, of masked witches, berserkers, and the unforgiving wilds. You won’t find Waterdeep here—only dark pine, ancestral oaths, and a culture clinging to survival. Rashemen is rarely explored in official campaigns, making this a unique chance to dive deep into one of the Forgotten Realms’ most compelling regions. ✦ Roleplay-forward, character-driven narrative ✦ Grounded heroism in a high-stakes world ✦ Slavic/Viking themes, spiritual mystery, and political tension ✦ All experience levels welcome ✦ Fully compatible with 2024 Core Rulebooks (One D&D) ✦ Weekly sessions | Foundry VTT + | DnDBeyond | Discord | Session 0 included Burn away the Old Past. Build a New Future. Rashemen needs you.

About me
I have been a GM for Dungeons and Dragons for over 20 years starting with AD&D 2e progressing in to 3e, v3.5, 4e, and 5e. I have also ran multiple living campaigns with dozens of players in both D&D 5e and Pathfinder 2nd Edition Revised. My goal is to expose more people to the wonders of the Forgotten Realms beyond the Sword Coast.

Creating your character
Starting Level: 4 Characters will be made via DnDBeyond with Dice Rolls in Discord. There will be special subclasses, species and background options from the Third Party Supplements, The Great Dale, and the Rashemen Campaign Guides. Setting Specific options not specific to the Forgotten Realms will not be availble.
This is a roleplay-rich, combat-intense campaign set in one of the most evocative and mysterious regions of the Forgotten Realms. Rashemen is far from the Sword Coast—expect snow-covered forests, spirit-haunted glades, and ancient grudges older than the land itself. ✅ What to Expect: A dark fantasy tone with supernatural and survival elements Tactical combat with meaningful consequences Political tensions between the Witches of Rashemen, Durthan cultists, and foreign powers Regular roleplay opportunities—explore your character’s history and fate Character arcs that grow from the land's myth and conflict 🛠️ System & Tools: Game run on Foundry VTT All characters managed through D&D Beyond Voice and RP chat via Discord Sessions weekly, 3-4 hours 🧙♂️ Character Creation: Most Forgotten Realms content unlocked Regional-specific options for Rashemen and the Great Dale encouraged New player friendly—help available for character builds and learning the tools Session 0 included to go over expectations, boundaries, and party dynamics

What Stuart brings to the table
🎁 What I Bring to the Table When you join my table, you’re getting more than just dice rolls—you’re stepping into a fully realized world. Here’s what I bring to every game: 🎭 Character Voices – I use distinct voices to help bring NPCs to life and keep the world feeling dynamic and real. 🗺️ Custom Maps & Tokens – Every major location and combat map is hand-selected or custom-made, tailored to the setting and encounter. 🎵 Ambient Music & Sound – I use carefully chosen background music and sound effects to heighten immersion and mood. 📚 DND Beyond Access – Players will have access to most official sourcebooks through campaign sharing, so you can build and explore freely. ⚔️ Intense, Tactical Combat – Fights matter. I design combat with real stakes, smart enemies, and environmental twists that challenge strategy and creativity. 🧠 Worldbuilding & Lore-Focused – Expect a living, breathing setting with its own history, culture, and mysteries. The world reacts to your choices. ⚖️ Balanced GM Style – I run a healthy mix of Rules as Written and Rule of Cool. If it’s awesome and makes narrative sense, I’ll usually say yes—but fairness and consistency still matter. 🧭 What to Expect You’ll be making meaningful choices with real consequences. Exploration, political intrigue, and character-driven stories are central, but we also won’t shy away from cinematic action or dark turns. If you love digging into lore, shaping the world around you, and standing toe-to-toe with dangerous foes—this is your game.

How Stuart creates a safe table
Aftercare – After each session, we hang out for a bit to talk about how things went. You're welcome to share what you loved, what didn’t land, or just decompress. If you'd prefer to check in privately, I’m always available for a quick message after the game. Bleed – We talk about bleed (when emotions from the game mix with real life) openly. If anything ever hits too close to home, you’re encouraged to speak up—or just let me know after. Breaks – We take regular breaks every 60–90 minutes. You can also call a break at any time—just say it in chat or out loud. Debriefing – I end each session with a quick debrief. It’s optional, but it’s a chance to reflect, check in, or just say “that was cool.” Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist – Before we play, I’ll send you a consent form to help define what’s okay at the table (and what’s not). You can update it anytime.
