About me
hi, I'm Sayvion, I've been playing DND mostly as a DM for about a decade now. I have well over 2000+ hours playing as mostly a DM and I love what I do. I enjoy making stories and world-building and sharing those worlds with other people. With more time on my hands, I want to run new DND campaigns with new groups of people.

I have been very happy playing with Sayvion... Actually the first time in a while where I felt immediately at home in the game. I would be very happy to continue playing for a long time. Puzzles to make us think, challenging combat, murder mystery solving and fun roleplay have been encountered so far. Very fun voice acting, making for some memorable NPCs, music for ambience and detailed maps bring life to our game. Injecting art to help describe the areas and NPCs adds to the theatre of the mind. Character creation was relatively easy, with some extra requests to give our PCs some extra depth. I can tell he puts in a lot of background effort to make sure that everyone gets their spotlight. I am especially pleased with how my character has been growing and changing from what I initially dreamt to how they've been affected by the world. Highly recommend.
If you're looking for a dm who puts tons of love and care into his world, you're in the right place. I've known this man for years, and he is ALWAYS thinking of how to make his world more immersive and interesting. As a Game Master he is similar. Always trying to one up his last session to ensure quality is always there. If you were to have Sayvion as your, you can expect the following pros and cons. Pros: - Terrific Story Telling. You will likely get an entire story arc for your own OC, and that's pretty cool. - Long lasting and consistent scheduled sessions, usually stemming from 1 to 2 years if not longer (the current one we're playing in our free time is going on three years now, and hasn't had any roadblocks in scheduling) - Immersive and Hilarious NPCS. Whether they're for comedic effect, or for sinister purposes, they've all been memorable and impactful. - Excellent World Building. As stated before, he is ALWAYS thinking about how his world should function. He cares deeply for what he does and you can feel it with each session. Cons: - Indecisive Decisiveness. As stated above, he puts a lot of thought and care into what he does. However, he also likes to jump from one idea to the other. Things are likely to change whether they're new mechanics or new world lore. - Slow level ups. Not always a bad thing, a slow story can often feel great, but sometimes it can feel like you've gone months without a level up. Mixed: - Limited Items. He thinks hard about what items he wants to give out to players and when he wants to give them out. This leads to having things being tailored for people, such as the fighter getting a magic sword after winning a gladiator arena, or a special staff awarded to the wizard after defeating an evil arch mage. However, depending on what the players prioritize story wise, it can lead to players feeling left out of item gain, or not receiving any for long periods of time. (Yes, there are always shops available, but buying items can feel lack luster in comparison to winning / being awarded something useful after a social encounter or combat encounter) Overall, he has to be one of my favorite game masters I've played with. His worlds and his story telling skills easily make him a 5/5 DM. If you're ready for the story of a lifetime, this is your man.
Character creation
Creating your character
stats will be decided through point buy and starting at level 3. All official Dnd Content is allowed and if you're interested in doing homebrew you'd just have to run it by me first. I have a lore Doc to relate your character back to the world and a list of questions to help flesh out your character.

What Sayvion brings to the table
I'm open to giving the party combat when they want it through hunting, side quests, dungeons, surprise encounters, or shenanigans gone wrong, but I like to focus on the roleplay aspect. even in combat, I encourage talking and roleplay and reward it I use ambient music and will usually have songs for combat encounters and enjoy doing voices and sound effects I like to honor the rule of cool and allow changes to spells or abilities for stylistic reasons and am open to most homebrew content Also, I usually make tokens or character models myself and will custom-make bosses for combat
Homebrew rules
- Death saves are rolled privately - when a deception or persuasion check needs to be rolled between players it is rolled privately and we don't say which kind of roll it was - anyone can use spells scrolls of any type - if warlocks, clerics, and paladins go against their Patron, Oath, or god, their access to magic can be altered or cut off - dice damage can burst (if you roll max damage on a damage dice, you can reroll that dice and add it to the total) - any damage type can be non-lethal except fire, acid, poison, lightning, radiant, and necrotic. - Tames of any kind need time to be broken in and trained depending on the temperament of the creature and the skill of the trainer - we use inspiration cards. - we use spell points instead of spell slots - Every time damage is cut in half it is rounded down - drinking a potion is a bonus action and feeding it someone else is an action

How Sayvion creates a safe table
these sessions will try to be light-hearted and playful but occasionally get into darker themes as they naturally arise in characters' backgrounds or environments. we stray away from anything too horrendous, like SA and things of that nature, and I prohibit it in my games. in session zero, we go over rules and boundaries so everyone is on the same page and will take breaks, usually once a session, to break things up. I like to do aftercare to see where everyone is mentally with the campaign
