Clear-headed, unshaken, and endlessly in-tune with her players' needs, Emma is the kind of GM you meet once in a blue moon and then wonder where she's been your whole gaming life. Not only is Emma a wonderful person with a quick and improvisational humor and savvy narrative instincts, but she is also a knowledgeable and patient Gamemaster. Emma's tables are safe, fun, and full of meaningful triumphs for her players. If you want a game where the stakes matter but you can fully enjoy every moment of them, then stop here and sign up to play at her table.
Sitting at Jack's table was a kind of specific delight that can only come from a Gamemaster who knows their tools, when to apply them, and when to let the narrative ride and carry the story they and their players are telling. Not only did I learn more about Legend in the Mist and how to be a good player of it, but I also had the privilege of experiencing a story beautifully told that truly touched my heart. (I teared up! Very sniffly! 10/10 would be emotionally devastated by deeper psychological/spiritual connotations again!) When you sign on for a game with Jack, rest assured you've chosen a kind and savvy guide into your game of choice.
What a time! I don't think I've ever had the pleasure of gaming with a GM who made me feel more like a bird. For our Murder of Crows table, Jon led us through a conspiracy that only birds could have thought through, rife with high stakes, many laughs, and wild hollers of victory. Jon is a GM I would trust to take whatever wild plan myself or my tablemates proposed, pause, only to follow up with "okay, roll for it." Masterful enabler of corvids.
When you're new to a system, or even to tabletop roleplaying as a whole, entrusting your gaming experience to anyone can be its own kind of Catch-22. That's why you sign on with GMs like Joshua. Zero-judgment, questions welcome, and always ready to gently prompt his players with a "Remember that you can […]" (As a first-time D&D 5e Ranger, this brought a great deal of relief to me!) Joshua is a fan of his players and clearly wants to curate the best possible experience for newbies and veterans alike. If you want a safe, informative, and fun table, you can't go wrong with Joshua!
BaronBattleBread does not miss a beat. A masterful curator of games content, Bread navigates seamlessly between off-the-cuff player silliness, eerie and unsettling tension, and high-stakes combat. If you have the privilege to join one of Bread's tables, expect him to meet you halfway, match your energy, and then raise. I have never been so invested in a one-shot 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons game, and I swear I have never laughed so hard at one either. I will definitely be coming back for more.
