About me
I started playing AD&D in the 80s with my collage friends. Then I took a few decades off. I was reintroduced to D&D (5e) when my family asked during Covid - and after Stranger Things - if I would teach them to play D&D. I learned 5e and started running family games. I quickly realized that I would like to be a player, too; I was having a lot of fun. I found StartPlayingGames in 2024 and have been having a blast since.

I had a great time playing one of Bruno's one-shots. It was focused on problem-solving (not puzzle-solving, and Bruno created a fun, creative session with a lot of role play. Bruno used the Rule of Cool allowing a lot of creativity and innovation, and also kept the session moving when necessary. I am looking forward to joining more of Bruno's sessions!
Oscar ran a really creative and fun one-shot with an Ozzy themed setting. Oscar used the Rule of Cool and was also very patient, helping and guiding the players through the various layers of technology when someone needed it. It was also nice to have a table with a wide range of age groups present, and Oscar made all of us feel welcome. I would definitely recommend joining one of Oscar's one-shots, and I look forward to doing so again as soon as I can.
I had a really great time playing in a western themed Daggerheart one-shot with Shaj. The group really got into the roleplaying and Shaj adjusted the story smoothly to accommodate the fun, all the while helping us become more familiar with the system without getting bogged down. I look forward to playing in another session with Shaj!
I had a great time with Rob in a Daggerheart one-shot. Rob was patient with new players unfamiliar with Daggerheart and/or Foundry. He encouraged a lot of roleplaying and the group became very creative and energetic as a result. I am truly looking forward to more sessions with Rob!
