About me
Somewhere between beginner and intermediate gamer, with some experience of D&D 5/5.5e, Call of Cthulhu, Blades in the Dark, Dungeon Crawl Classics, Eat the Reich, Gardens of Ynn, Mörk Borg/Pirate Borg, Lamentations of the Flame Princess and Kult: Divinity Lost; avid watcher of D20, LA By Night, The Calyx, Mystery Quest, Glass Cannon, Haunted City, and more. My wife and I are also big fans of board games, especially Arkham Horror, Cave Evil, and Escape the Dark Castle, and I'm always on the lookout for RPGs that really emulate that sort of vibe – indie games that would work with a black metal soundtrack: Mörk Borg, Lamentations of the Flame Princess, etc. I just played my first Eat the Reich and LOVED it, and just started a Blades in the Dark campaign I'm super excited about. My pie-in-the-sky dream right now is to find some people who'd be into doing a Pilgrims of the Murk Dome campaign – if this is you please let me know! Also very excited for the prospect of a Brindlewood Bay, DIE, Alice is Missing, Ten Candles, any other indie weirdness out there.

Just had a fantastic Session 0 with Sonder, who was kind enough to run a completely new game, meaning I finally get to play Ruination Pilgrimage! Extremely good vibes, super welcoming, attentive to player needs, and has clearly already done fantastic prep work, making a really innovative set of Google Sheets for character builds, lines/veils, etc. Cannot wait for 2 weeks from now!
Just had an amazing first-time experience with Quo / Dacia, running Survivor Sorority! Immediately great vibes, honestly felt a level of comfort with her GMing, usually reserved for long-term campaigns. Unsurprisingly, Quo's position within Eerie Games made them an optimal person to introduce us to Survivor Sorority, and was effortless in creating the world and explaining the rules in such a way there was no confusion with what we were doing at any stage. I would absolutely do another game with Quo, and am looking into buying a full copy of Survivor Sorority / looking into Eerie Games' other RPGs literally right now! Highly, highly recommended ^_^
I had such a great time playing Pirate Borg with Chris! He was extremely engaging, inviting, and explicative toward new arrivals like me, and regular players alike. It's extremely rare for a one-shot to have the liberated feeling of a sandbox setting, and yet our actions felt entirely our own, and our consequences entirely justified. I would (and hopefully will) absolutely play another game with Chris – and hope his mention of a full PB campaign comes through!
My wife and I just finished a 5e one-shot with Nikki—Murders at the Masquerade—and are in no doubt she is one of the very best DM/GMs we've ever had. *Incredibly* good vibes, extremely fun and funny, with striking and memorable NPCs, while also celebrating the big swings in terms of PC actions and builds. Nikki's passion for her setting and story was absolutely infectious, and inspired me to join a full campaign immediately. I'm so excited for it to begin!
