About me
Somewhere between beginner and intermediate gamer, with some experience of D&D 5/5.5e, Call of Cthulhu, Blades in the Dark, Dungeon Crawl Classics, Eat the Reich, Gardens of Ynn, and Kult: Divinity Lost; avid watcher of D20, LA By Night, The Calyx, Mystery Quest, Glass Cannon, Haunted City, and more. My wife and I are also big fans of board games, especially Arkham Horror, Cave Evil, and Escape the Dark Castle, and I'm always on the lookout for RPGs that really emulate that sort of vibe – indie games that would work with a black metal soundtrack: Mörk Borg, Lamentations of the Flame Princess, etc. I just played my first Eat the Reich and LOVED it, and just started a Blades in the Dark campaign I'm super excited about. My pie-in-the-sky dream right now is to find some people who'd be into doing a Pilgrims of the Murk Dome campaign (and for StartPlaying to add it to the game system list!) – if this is you please let me know! Also very excited for the prospect of a Brindlewood Bay, DIE, Alice is Missing, Ten Candles, any other indie weirdness out there.

Bruce did a fantastic job, Keeping for a Call of Cthulhu one-shot, responding to a party made up of a broad array of familiarity with CoC, with Discord, and with Roll20 with warmth, patience, humor, and focus. Players felt encouraged to come up with solutions and character quirks, even when using pre-gen, and we got into a groove very easily! I'll definitely be looking out for more games run by Bruce :)
I just played my first ever EAT THE REICH one-shot with Mason as my GM, and can confidently say it's the best time I've had in a TTRPG session of any game system in ages! Mason is engaging, inviting, patient, and clearly skilled at fostering creativity from players of any level. The environment he sets at his table is the gold standard of what I go to SPG for.
I just had the pleasure of a Call of Cthulhu five-player one-shot with Michael as Keeper, and cannot recommend him enough as a GM. I was a last-minute joiner, and immediately had an extremely pleasant conversation with him, as he determined my experience level and laid out his method in a clear, communicative, and highly welcoming manner. I really appreciated his preference for players remaining in character as much as possible – speaking as someone who always aspires to be a better role player in my role playing games, this gentle push really helped me step into my investigator's shoes all the more; especially impressive, considering my character was pre-gen! I would be delighted to play with Michael as my GM again, and highly recommend others do the same.
