About The Dreaded DM
Hey guys, gals and non binary pals! I'm the Dreaded DM, also known as Dread, also known as Caitlin I will answer to any title, especially if it's flattering! I'm an Irish/American/Caribbean TTRPG performer and GM, ready to use my experience and skills to run some lovely games. I started playing Dungeons and Dragons 5e five years ago, finding an online game using a platform very similar to this. I very quickly became enamoured with the game and began running games both online and IRL. In the years since, I have run both free and paid games for conventions, events and Twitch streams all over Ireland and have made some incredible friends along the way. If you want to see an example of my GMing, here's a VOD of me running a charity game for Blades in the Dark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7M-FKsPiG7o I hope that by signing up and telling a story together, you make make some equally incredible friends and memories.

How The Dreaded DM runs games
I try to tailor my games to my players as much as I can. With that being said, I tend to prefer narrative driven games with a sprinkling of combat. But I like to think that above all else, I am adaptable. I'm always willing to talk to my players and figure out exactly what kind of game we would all be happy to play.

My games focus on...
structured chaos! I like to have a solid idea of my world before I play so when my players immediately get into trouble, I have a variety of trouble waiting for them.
The Dreaded DM's ideal table
I think the players that I tend to vibe best with are the ones who are looking for a good story, who want to laugh but can get serious and who prefer theatre of the mind.
Featured Prompts
I love it when a player
Is not afraid to take a big swing and accepts the consequences no matter what they are!
I think metagaming...
is fine when strategizing together as a group during combat and certain social encounters. It's not fine when you try to apply knowledge that your character would have no way of knowing without studying it or being physically present.
