About Aidan's Adventures
I'm an experienced GM who's been telling stories since 1995; and telling them in the form of TTRPGs since 2010. I always wanted to write for a living and I kept hearing about D&D; these mythical games where the goal was slaying monsters, saving the world and above all weaving a legendary tale with friends, but it took me over a decade to find an actual table to join. When I heard about Startplaying I couldn't wait to sign up and make these games that I love accessible to everyone that wants to play. If you (like I once was) are a beginner who's always wanted to play but never had a table to join; or if you're an old hat who can't squeeze enough games in (like I am now), there's a place for you at my table.

I became a GM because
I've loved telling stories my entire life, finding there was a whole community of people who liked to get together and tell them as a group was a real eye-opener and I've never looked back.
My favorite books are
Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, The Discworld series, Stormlight Archives, Sherlock Holmes, Shadow of the Leviathan series, Scribbleboy, Skulduggery Pleasant series
My favorite system of all Time is
Daggerheart!
How Aidan's Adventures runs games
I try to balance every aspect of the game we love: puzzles, combat, RP and storytelling. As a natural story teller I do have a bias towards story and RP and do reward players for leaning into that, but I recognise that's not what everyone loves about the game. I won't make you give a speech to convince a guard to let you pass if you'd rather just roll persuasion, but if you, in character, give a compelling reason for him to let you pass, you might find the DC lower.
