I am learning to play Blades in the Dark with Rafael and I could not have gotten luckier that to have him as my game master. He is very welcoming and warm from the start and brings a lot of enthusiasm and passion for the game to the table. His excitement is definitely contagious, especially about the ideas and goals of his players. You will feel supported and encouraged to let your creativity shine forth. Rafael is also excellent at introducing you to the game. He doesn't overwhelm you with information all at once, instead gives you what you need to know and brings up the rest when it becomes important. He is also a wonderful story teller that sets a clear tone for the game world. You feel the danger and desperation of Duskval in his descriptions and scenarios and it is exciting and frightening. I can not recommend Rafael as a game master higher. It is a joy to play with him each week. I hope that you will join one of his games to experience the same, soon.

I really enjoyed playing with Mr. Patrick. He has great sense of pace, kept the action and the attention moving without stepping on player moments and agency. I appreciate how quickly he can bring the players up to speed on the rules and structure so that there is plenty of time to tell a story. Mr. Patrick is a great GM to learn a new system with and to have a pick up game with.

I play Monster of the Week with Jess and she is a fabulous Keeper. From our very first pre-game conversation she's been honest, supportive, funny, and kind. The story that we're telling is fun, but I'm most impressed by the details she gives a scene, putting you squarely in the moment so you can shine. If you want to up your role play game, she's the GM for you.

Vinni The Troll

I'd never played DnD before I played at Vinni's table. He's always on it with an explanation if you don't understand a rule. He's also super supportive of wacky off the wall ideas and Rule of Cool. I never felt constrained or like I was being told no, even when I was being told no. And I feel like 90% of the sessions ended on some sort of cliff hanger so I was always thinking about where we were going next, or how to handle a situation. I was definately never bored. If you like humor in your games, theater it'd the mind and to feel supported at the table, you're going to enjoy a game run by Vinni.
