About me
Hello! As a ttrpg lover, I want to make playing games more accessible. I am currently most well versed in Dungeons and Dragons, but I would love to explore other formats. One of my top priorities when DMing is ensuring that my players feel like they are the heroes leading the story. To do this, I ask my players to set short, mid, and long term goals for their characters. So when I prep, it revolves around what you want to accomplish, whether it's owning a tavern or becoming a god. I also enjoy having "over-powered" players, which allows me to give feats whenever you level up. That way, I can make encounters more difficult and specialized, along with allowing your character to mechanical improved based on our roleplaying. Running dnd games is one of the things I enjoy most, and I want to help more people get into the ttrpg space.
GM Style
My GM style is following the rule of cool. Just because it takes textbooks to play doesn't mean I want anyone to feel like we're back in school. This results in using player feedback in the middle of sessions. One time, I was running a hack-and-slash one shot with friends. One of the players loved using magic, and said that they were feeling annoyed about only being villagers. After talking to the table, we decided that anyone who wanted to use magic could roll a d4 as their bonus action to cast a random spell. I like to ask my players what they want, so I can adjust on the spot and provide the best session I possibly can. I also love world building- I like to make custom calendars with unique holidays, and I've even made animations for my campaigns. I always encourage role playing, especially during combat. When I'm playing, I tend to zone out of combat. So when I'm DMing, I ask you to describe for me. Yes, combat takes a little longer, but I find that when players get to decide how they hit, how they miss, how their spell fires off, they are so much more engaged.
