Riverend Saga | Campaign | D&D 3.5/Pathfinder
About the adventure
The Riverend saga is a long homebrew campaign focused on character growth and heavily based on what you as a player want to pursue. It is set in a medium fantasy version of the Forgotten Realms, using official lore ready for you to explore at your pace. Players will start as children (aged 7-10) and age as the story progresses, discovering what it truly takes to become a hero along the way. Through their actions, they will shape the world around them and prepare to face an evil threatening to end existence as we know it. The campaign runs from levels 1 all the way up to level 20. If you want to experience a coming of age story combined with a saga of epic proportions, then this is the story for you.

About me
Hello, my name is George, and I am a hopeless fantasy enthusiast with a passion for DMing. I have been an active Dungeon Master for 19 years now, and practiced it professionally for 3. During that time, I've run, multiple introductory sessions, long-lasting campaigns, hosted local events, DM teaching seminars and even created a few well received books on DMs guild. I have a passion for running games and creating a truly immersive experience, using maps, music, and sound effects to bring life to vibrant worlds ready to be explored. If you are seeking a DM focused on creating a fun experience and willing to go the extra mile, do not hesitate to contact me!

Sets the Mood
I have been playing with George for 5+ years now. He is the kind of DM that will try and go beyond for the game. He knows how to include every player's style into the game and give everyone their moment to shine and feel awesome. One of the most important things George does in our games is that if you have an idea for something he will work with you to make it come to life, and at the same time he doesn't say yes to everything. He knows how to help players immerse into the game and feel safe and relaxed to roleplay and enjoy their time.
Me and my friends run a homebrew campaign with George as the DM that lasted over 2 years. The campaign is over for nearly 5 years now yet we still talk about it. George made it very easy for us to be invested in our characters as he facilitated the development of our characters and we heavily felt the impact of our actions in the world AND the story. The campaign had some of the most entertaining combats i have ever seen in 10+ years of D&D and interesting NPCs that we cared about. The campaign setting gave us a vast selection of different areas of the world to explore and interact with. The campaign ended with an epic fight with the BBEG and the fight itself and the ending of the story was very satisfying.
Amazing GM with unlimited imagination that could travel you to many worlds and epic fights. Tons of fun in each of the sessions with dramatic twists, fun and imaginative NPCs and horrifying powerful monsters. Sessions have great variety, switching from heavy roleplaying to full combat session, depending on the situation and the group interest. Very immersive storytelling/worldbuilding that puts you in your character's shoes greatly enhancing your enjoinment.
As a long-time adventurer, I have played with many GMs, but George is by far the most capable. He is fair, and you can tell he has many years of experience in the tabletop world. His campaigns and one-shots are well thought, but most of all he can make every single player's story unique! Really enjoying every single sessions.
Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation, along with boundaries, expectation and themes will be discussed at session 0. Characters will start as children and age as the story progresses. Characters will start at level 0 and gain a class that best fits their needs and wants, depending on their choices during the first few sessions (2-3).
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Since we will be running online, players will need their own mic. A webcam is also appreciated to help with role-playing and avoiding miscommunication. Finally, a free discord account is needed for stable voice communication, along with a free Forge account to make use of the virtual tabletop.
What George brings to the table
In order to better incorporate the players into the story, we will use immersive tools, such as ambient music, maps and illustrations. Good knowledge the rules, along with the will and patience to teach. A friendly open-doors policy to discuss any issues that might arise during gameplay.
