About the adventure
You've traveled far to Blackclaw Mountain to seek your fortune in Deepdelver's Enclave. During this campaign, the characters will: * Explore an immense underground setting with a variety of races, locations and challenges * Seal away awakening evils * Interact with a cult dedicated to ancient elder things * Protect Deepdelver's Enclave from threats internal and external * Possibly discover the origins of the Grendleroot and stop its threat to the mountain and beyond. And TREASURE! The mountain is a place that has tantalized countless others for millennia. In ages past, drawn by a mysterious power within, beings from all the lands built lairs, keeps, fortresses, villages, and cities in the endless caverns and chambers of the mountain. A wondrous place... until the strange black spires of the GRENDLEROOT erupted from out of the rock! Tearing through the stone like the claws of some great beast, or the roots of an unnatural weed forged of metal, the Grendleroot collapsed caverns and buried settlements. Its people abandoned the mountain. Today, Deepdelver’s Enclave is the lone known permanent settlement inside Blackclaw. Like all the explorers and adventurers who come to the Enclave, you seek to investigate the lost wonders of the mountain, and to uncover the mysteries that still lie buried in its depths. Deepdelver’s Enclave is in a vast cavern, spread along a hundred-foot-high cliff overlooking the ruins of a subterranean city below, once known as Shadowreach. About me
Infinite possibilities drew me into role-playing as a kid. We create our own worlds. Worlds populated by fantastical locations, friends, foes and monsters. In this medium, we share amazing stories. I love the incredible social interaction; finding fast friends with a common point of interest. These things continue to bring me into RPGs. For nearly 40 years I have been gaming, most of that as a "forever DM." I’m an old-school gamer with modern sensibilities for culture and game design. What I bring to our shared experience: A collaborative storytelling mindset, unique and colorful NPCs, comfort with improvising, homebrew and published settings, and a desire to share epic moments that focus on your characters! In my arsenal are Roll20, Discord, Obsidian Portal and D&D Beyond. Please, reach out if you have questions… or just want to chat.

Creating your character
Character creation will happen during our Session 0. They will be created and kept on Roll20. I have most of the sourcebooks shared with the campaign. We'll be starting at level 1 and use milestone leveling.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Come prepared with a character in mind. Pretty much everything is permitted, with approval. You will need to have a Roll20 and Discord account. We will be using voice chat via discord, so have a microphone and speakers (preferablly a headset) ready. I will send invites to the campaign and a Discord server for voice during the game.
What Tom King brings to the table
I bring most official source books in Roll20 for our use and a published adventure arc by one of the top authors in the industry.

How Tom King creates a safe table
We will have a session 0 for all players during which we will discuss any lines and veils that players have. This is besides creating characters in Roll20. During play I always have an open door policy. Message me directly if something is or is near, bothering you. My goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable space that we can play in together.
