Greetings Adventurers, I am Justin (JD) Eaton. Sometime in the late 80s I was invited over to a friend's house to try out this new type of board game that worked like a choose your own adventure book; it was called Dungeons and Dragons. From there my love for role-playing games took off. We played the original Dungeons and Dragons (1E) along with Advanced Dungeons and Dragons (2E). We also tried out this game based on a comic book called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This led to picking up an entire group of books from the Palladium System (Heroes Unlimited, Ninjas and Superspies, and Rifts). I was only able to play on and off over the next 20 years due to my work schedule in the military. As a 20+ year veteran of the military, it was sometimes able to drop in occasionally for a one shot or guest appearance in a game, but I was unable to stay dedicated. Now that I am retired from the military, I have returned as a DM/GM. I started DM/GMing games during my last couple of years in high school and I truly enjoyed the art of storytelling. I now have multiple groups I DM/GM for both in-person and virtually. I hope are ready to set forth on a high adventure in the realm of the imagination. -Justin (JD) Eaton
My style of GMing is all about storytelling and character interactions. I am not a strategist or rules lawyer. If you enjoy counting squares on a grid or quoting rules from the book, then I am not the GM for your. My belief is the books/rules are there to help facilitate the game, but they should not be an object to throw at people. In the words of Spider-Man, “That thing does not obey the laws of physics!” This is a saying I follow because in most of my games involve you being a hero in a fantasy world. Speaking of being a hero, unless it is specifically a mercenary or villain campaign setting you will be of a good alignment. Which means, be prepared to be the hero in my game settings, no murder hobos allowed. Be prepared to find the villain, save the princess, stop their evil scheme, but wait, there’s more! (I love plot twists in story arcs) I also enjoy intertwining the backstory you create for your character into the campaign setting. So be prepared to get your creativity going for your characters. I try to link the main story line with side quests to help develop your character. My campaigns will have a television show feel to them. Every episode (adventure) will involve figuring out a problem, locating and stopping the problem. If you enjoy TV shows like; Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Mandalorian, CW’s Arrowverse, or DC’s Young Justice, then you will enjoy my style of GMing. Hook, Dilemma, Solve the Problem, Plot Twist, on to our next episode. I can GM the following Games for you: Dungeons and Dragons 1E Dungeons and Dragons 5E Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the 1980s or Post Apocalyptic Settings) Heroes Unlimited (Super Hero's Game) Rifts (post apocalyptic setting with magic, technology, and super beings)
