About the adventure
The funeral games have ended. After a strange meteor fell from the sky, enraging civilians and throwing Pol-Bailax into chaos, Iblydos' newest hero-gods found the power to save their home. Still uncertain of the meteor's origin and power, and still uncertain of how your mythic potential will manifest, you must venture to the seas. Only weeks ago, you were a civilian. Only days ago, you became a local hero. Now, your body brimming with the mythic potential of a demigod, you might just restore myth-speaking to Iblydos. However, as it becomes more clear that the people of Iblydos need new defenders, your power does threaten to consume you from within. New players are welcome at any time! Whether you're a seasoned Pathfinder veteran or you are brand new to tabletop games, you'll find a welcoming, collaborative game full of creativity, strange magic, and world-shaping decisions. Just bring your imagination and a willingness to engage with the adventure!

About me
Hi all! I’m Jamie Emma, the Game Master behind Cozy Critical, a space where I hope to bring collaboration, cozy fun, and epic adventure together for people's enjoyment. Tabletop games should provide a restful outlet that helps us disconnect from the real world for a little while; I hope that my games can provide that for you! My table guidelines: - All are welcome, so long as you are welcoming to others. - Practice active listening during games. - Collaborate with other players when given the opportunities. - Allow other players their moments of spotlight. - Published, third-party and homebrew content may be used only if it has been vetted by me and it has a functioning Foundry VTT module to make gameplay accessible. My focus as the GM must remain on storytelling, not building computer automation for one's character. With over 5 years as a GM, 7 years playing TTRPGs, 6 years as a middle school science teacher, and 3 years in higher education I bring rich game mechanics together with an environment where players can feel comfortable learning new systems and trying new things. My goal is to create welcoming games that blend character development, emotional fantasy adventure arcs, and hopefully the right amount of chaos and silliness. Between a professional virtual tabletop setup and my past experience leading fantasy games, streaming TTRPGs, podcasting, and performing theater, I offer a strong foundation for us to build something special at the table. Whether you are new to TTRPGs or have played longer than I have, I hope you'll join me for some collaborative fun. Thanks so much, and I look forward to telling unforgettable stories together 💫

Creating your character
Characters will be created together during a free Session 0! Please think of a broader concept for the type of character you wish to create in the meantime. This setting is very flexible and remains open for any ancestry, class, and background you would like to choose for your character. The region is heavily inspired by Ancient Greece. If you wish to learn more about character creation in Pathfinder 2E, check out the online rule-set through Archives of Nethys!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Once you sign up for the game, I will share a Discord server invitation link with you :) All of the links you will need to explore the rule-set, to set up an account on our Virtual Tabletop, and to begin planning a character concept will be located in the Discord server.
What Jamie Emma brings to the table
I will take care of the world-building, NPC voices, in-game music, virtual tabletop, rules management, and player engagement. All I need from you is a willingness to explore the setting and build a story together!
Homebrew rules
I do not use any homebrew mechanics, but I do tend to weave homebrew story elements into pre-written adventure paths, as I feel that this helps to better connect player characters to the adventure.
