About the adventure
Adventure as birds and woodland creatures in an enchanting natural world! The Humblewood was a lush and peaceful forest that hummed with the Great Rhythm of nature. But now, fires and bandits have embroiled the Woods in chaos. Even in these dark times, brave heroes can be found within the Wood. Only they can quell the raging flames that have been unleashed upon the land, and restore balance to the realm. Will you answer the call? Humblewood is a DnD 5e (2014) setting with 10 unique playable animal races, new subclasses, backgrounds, feats, spells, and magic items. The campaign runs from Level 1-5 but can easily be expanded if the group would like to continue past the initial module. No need to have any previous knowledge of Humblewood. This is a perfect campaign for new and experienced players alike!

About me
Hello, I‘m Em! I love crafting custom campaigns and worlds for my players, collaborative storytelling and roleplay, and most importantly creating a safe and comfortable environment for everyone at my table! I have been GMing for 6 years with more than 1000 hours on Roll20 alone (not including any offline or Discord play). I aim to create highly immersive experiences including portraits for all NPCs, voice acting, engaging background images, thematic music, and custom-made maps, tokens, and visual aids. I love collaborating with my players! I am always down to read and discuss backstory, I encourage players to help build and shape the world, and to have a lot of fun role playing together! In my non-rpg life, I’ve worked as a trainer, peer counselor, and tutor. I have experience working with people of many backgrounds, teaching and facilitating groups. Em is an incredible Dungeon Master who has created a truly awesome, dangerous, and engaging world. Her attention to detail is evident in the rich settings and memorable NPCs, who feel like real people with their own stories to tell. Character creation
Creating your character
- Campaign starts at Level 1 - Please use Humblewood Races - Standard Array or Point Buy for stats - Should be done before Session 1 I'm happy to help you craft a character and help bring your hero to life together! I encourage players to bring their own unique ideas and creativity to their character's backstory. I then craft the world and story around the players characters. I can also make a pre-generated character sheet if you'd like to just jump in. I will have a channel in the campaign's Discord server where players can discuss character creation and I set up private chats for each player so you can speak directly with me about your character. We will create character sheets using Roll20 before or during Session 0. If you have any difficulties making a character sheet on Roll20, I am happy to help you. You are also welcome to make a character sheet in another way and I can input it to Roll20 for you. Or you can make your sheet on D&D Beyond and use the Beyond20 extension.
We currently have a Gallus Cleric, a Jerbeen Rogue, a Strig Bard, and a Cervan Fighter. The party is Level 3.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
- Working Microphone - Stable Internet Connection - Roll20 Account - Discord Account - Working Webcam (optional) I prefer everyone to be on video chat on Discord as I think it adds to the game to see each other but it's not required (and it helps with accidental interrupting and other webcam meeting awkwardness). Character sheets and rolling will be on Roll20 along with music and visuals to immerse you in the game. What Em brings to the table
I create a highly immersive experience with voice acting, music, scene graphics, portraits for all npcs, visual components to puzzles, making custom tokens and art for your PCs, custom battlemaps and visual aids, etc. My games often have a focus on roleplay and exploration but I tailor games to the group and am happy to balance puzzles and combat in that mix however the group prefers! I play by the rule of cool and love narrative Nat 20s and 1s. I have a firm grasp of the rules but I'm also flexible with what makes the best story and experience. I offer all necessary Humblewood materials, a paid Roll20 account, and my expertise with both Roll20 and Discord. I am happy to teach how to use Roll20 and/or input all the character sheet information for you.

How Em creates a safe table
I prioritize fun, inclusivity, respectful interaction, and fostering a creative and cooperative atmosphere. To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all players, I use safety tools. I have all players fill out a brief survey of Lines, Veils, and expectations before we start playing. I then share the anonymised results with the group before session 0. Session 0 is free and where we will discuss expectations. I utilize the X card and encourage players to message me privately at any time. I also do check-ins after sessions. There is no sexual assault, homophobia, racism, sexism, genocide, transphobia, or explicitly described sex in my games.
