About John

I have been table top gaming since I was 7 years old. I started in AD&D, and 2nd edition. I have been gaming ever since, and have played a variety of TTRPGs. I have been DMing professionally since 2021, and have completed a variety of games, campaigns, and had many more fall through. I love playing new TTRPGs, and I want to help people make memories that will follow them through life. My favorite TTRPGs are VtM, Pathfinder 2e, Shadowrun (5e), and Ryutama.

I became a GM because

When I was young, the single always positive memories I have was when my whole family would play D&D together. it was the 1 time that there was just good, clean, wholesome fun with no clouds. These memories are precious to me, I want to make those for and with others.

My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be

D&D for is variety, and easy of pickup. Vampire the Masquerade (V5), for the modern setting, and for the fun of it all! Shadowrun (3rd or 5th), the futuristic setting is epic, and frankly it's my favorite. Plus you can adapt the rules for any idea if you try.

When I'm not running games I'm...

Often thinking of settings, and systems I want to run. Crafting stories, and adventures that I want to let my players experience and surrounding myself with TTRPG media and materials in order to take and warp more to my own needs/whims.

How John runs games

I am very much someone who loves the roleplay, and who loves to create unique situations, NPCS, Moments, and twists in my world. Even when running Modules for D&D 5e, I do create custom and unique NPCs, give chances for deeper RP, and creative problem solving. I love to use the phrase "What did you have in mind?", and I rarely say no, but instead I always say "You may certainly try". I know the meme involved, but I genuinely love when people try to do things out of the box so long as it's grounded in the reality of the game.

My games focus on...

Roleplay, and the realism of the worlds/area that the game takes place in. These games are meant to tell a story, and I do my best to work with my players to create an epic, or at least memorable story.

Rules are...

Meant to be a guide for the fun and storytelling that the table is coming up with.

When it comes to voices

I love giving every NPC a voice! I don't mind if players can't/won't do it for their characters, but each NPC will have a voice, and personality all their own!

John's ideal table

My ideal table is a group of players who are excited to get together and play the game together. As well as involved in the RP, and the battle at the table.
