About Alex Falase-Koya
Hey! I'm Alex, a professional author and video game narrative designer. Interactive fiction of all kinds has been a great love of mine and one of the ways I indulge that love is through tabletop roleplaying games. I started playing around 4 years ago and quickly started DMing quite shortly after because I was so taken with the hobby. Through completing multiple campaigns as a DM I've really built up a bunch of experience, and a little bit of an addiction to creating a canvas for players to perform, explore and have fun. I've run campaigns in both dungeons and dragons 5e and Fabula Ultima, I honestly cannot pick a favourite out of them. I really enjoy what both systems add to games.

My favorite books are
I'm a big fan of fantasy series, recently I've been really into Robert Jackson Bennett's Shadow of the Leviathan series, Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archives, and very recently The Red Winter from Cameron Sullivan.
How Alex Falase-Koya runs games
I really love running narrative-focused, roleplay-heavy games that provide opportunities for players to make interesting and difficult choices. I definitely don't run combat every session, but when I do run combat I try and make it important to the narrative and filled with cool tactical decisions. I keep very close to the rules of whatever game I'm running, but I also am always looking for an opportunity to bend the rules in favour of a player's creativity. I'm on your side after all!
Alex Falase-Koya's ideal table
My table is narrative-first, character-driven, and built around meaningful player choice. I love presenting situations rather than predetermined solutions and seeing what the party comes up with. Expect mysteries to unravel, recurring characters who remember your actions, difficult decisions without obvious right answers, and a world that genuinely responds to what you do. Combat is part of the experience, but it happens because the story calls for it rather than simply because it's time for a fight. You'll fit in well if you enjoy getting invested in the world, your character, and the other members of the party. Creative plans, unexpected alliances, investigating strange leads, and occasionally making spectacularly questionable decisions are all encouraged! You don't need to be an experienced roleplayer or know every rule, I value curious, collaborative players who want to engage with the adventure, and newer players are very welcome. The overall vibe is friendly, relaxed, and collaborative, even when the story gets dangerous or dark. There's plenty of room for humour, ridiculous plans, and moments that completely derail what I expected to happen. I create the world, NCS, mysteries, and consequences, and interact with it in whatever way you want to create the story.
