About Bryce

Hosting games is a fun time for me: the preparation and the thought that goes into making what the players see special is always quite the spectacle. Typically, I like running a system that I helped make myself, but I am experienced in Kids On Brooms as well. My experience in tabletop does not include Dungeons and Dragons, so keep that in mind. I have been told that I am flexible and I intend to live up to that. If you have any questions for me that is not covered in my profile, please shoot me a message and I will answer within the best of my ability!

I became a GM because

I enjoyed acting! I was in Theatre in high school and performed in a play when I was in college, so I enjoy that aspect of the craft. Also, I have been drawn to writing ever since I was in middle school.

I got started GMing...

when I was in high school. My first experience with it was actually with the homebrew system I like so much.

When I'm not running games I'm...

reading novels or playing video games. It is good to grab inspiration from other media or to experience a story passively... at least sometimes.

How Bryce runs games

I love roleplay and combat relatively equally, and I try to make each character have their own voice based on archetype to varying degrees of success. However, I have heard that I am quite good at doing voices, so there's that. Puzzles are quite fun for me, so those may or may not be included. Spontaneity is something I embody, so expect ups and downs to the craziness! However, that does not mean that the things do not fit in to the world at large, as there are always machinations behind the screen, whether it is on a whim or planned well in advance. Who knows?

Bryce's ideal table

My table is diverse and inclusive. People from all walks of life are welcome, creating a melting pot of ideas and a chaotic story. I typically try to keep the vibe chill outside of the game, keeping a clear separation between in and out. Inside of the game, I try to be as serious as possible, though I do like to joke around every now and again.

I love it when a player

has colorful descriptions of their actions. It is always hype when someone can invoke a scene from within their mind, especially within the heat of combat.

I think min/maxing...

is okay! I find it interesting when players attempt to mold a game to make themselves powerful, but that should not be at the exclusion of character. I believe a balance is necessary to achieve a truly great experience.

My table is not the place for...

outside drama. We are here to have fun and create a great story while we do it.
