About biceratops

I first discovered liveplay shows years ago but really got hooked during the pandemic when escaping into fantastic worlds felt more vital than ever. The deeper I got the more I realized that TTRPGs are more than just your average games, they are an incredible way to bring people together, explore worlds, solve mysteries, and exercise those creative muscles that lay dormant in ex theater kids. What started as casual viewing turned into a deep passion once I realized how collaborative and creative this hobby could be! I played my first campaign while undergoing cancer treaments that were hard on my body and mind, and those sessions with friends really kept me going. When my health returned, I started DMing to give back to the friends who helped me heal, and immediately fell in love with the craft. Running games has become one of the great joys of my life. I love worldbuilding, weaving adventures, staging combat, storytelling through collaboration, everything. Now I want to help bring that magic to others!

How biceratops runs games

Every table is a little different, and I strive to make each one feel tailored to the people at it. I collaborate with players in session zero and beyond to build a campaign that suits their tastes. Want intense, tactical combat and dungeon delving? I got you. Prefer deep character drama and layered backstories? Do it, lady. Love homebrew mechanics, subverted tropes, or just plain chaos? Bring it on. I aim to make sure every player gets spotlight time and feels like a hero (or if they want, a villain). My tables are LGBTQ+ friendly and focused on creating an environment where everyone can thrive. That being said, I don’t allow racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or other forms of hate speech at my tables and I am not shy about having those conversations with players. While I strive to create a welcoming space for everyone, I will always prioritize the safety and well-being of marginalized players first. If you’re looking for a game that’s creative, collaborative, inclusive, and tailored to your playstyle, I’d love to roll some dice with you!

I have prewritten adventures and boards, but I also use homebrew mechanics and build custom maps in Roll20 and TaleSpire. In terms of story I jot down descriptions, puzzles, and plot hooks to seed throughout. Dialogue is all improvised, which I am actively working to improve for even richer play.
