Ghosts of Saltmarsh
Dungeons & Dragons 5e on ...
About the adventure
Nestled on the coast of the Azure Sea is Saltmarsh, a sleepy fishing village that sits on the precipice of destruction. Smugglers guide their ships to hidden coves, willing to slit the throat of anyone foolhardy enough to cross their path. Cruel sahuagin gather beneath the waves, plotting to sweep away coastal cities. Drowned sailors stir to unnatural life, animated by dark magic and sent forth in search of revenge. The cult of a forbidden god extends its reach outward from a decaying port, hungry for fresh victims and willing recruits. While Saltmarsh slumbers, the evils that seek to plunder it grow stronger. Heroes must arise to keep the waves safe!
How to prepare
We will use Discord for chat and roll20 for the game. I will send links out with prep material the day before any given session. Please click the links and make sure you're all set up in those programs before a session, so we can jump right in. I'd like to have characters all set up before the first session. Easiest way to do this is to send me a link to your dndbeyond build, or send a pic of your character sheet, or just send me a message with a summary of your character choices (name, lineage, class, background, stats, spells, etc...) I will use a webcam and a mic. You do not need to use a webcam if you'd rather not.
What I provide
I'll have the campaign all ready to go. I'll set up sheets and token for you to use as soon as you can get me your character pics.
Cleverness will play an important role in surviving and thriving in Saltmarsh. Many nefarious hands appear helpful, and many dangerous rivals could be turned to allies with the right words or bribes. Expect a riotous, seat-of-your-pants romp through a dingy frontier port awash with coin and vice.

How will character creation work
We will use standard array for stats. We will start at level 2. Any official, printed WotC material is fair game. I'm also cool with Critical Role material such as the Blood Hunter. I don't use dndbeyond, but if you'd prefer, I can work with that. Otherwise, I'll help players generate characters and set them up in roll20.
