You and the crew head out seeking to restore the trade route with Saltmarsh, but you get the inkling there is much more to the story. Following the stars and the whistling of the wind, your vessel eventually docks at the Starlight Pontoon. A small rickety boat carrying two researchers is just heading out. Seeing you arrive at the Pontoon, they shamelessly ask if it'd be possible to borrow some fishing equipment as they go on to explain: "The corruption has created some unique type of jellyfish and we must know more about it." What will you do? What will you uncover?

How to prepare

Puttering about on your fishing vessel is most of the campaign and it's been made to be fun and engaging. You can fish, research and repair. All mechanics will be explained in the first 15 minutes of the first session, followed by character introductions and then straight into the action. You will need the following: 𝑫𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒎𝒊𝒄𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒔𝒆𝒕 𝑷𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆 𝑨𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒑𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒍𝒖𝒓𝒆 That's pretty much it! If you have any inquiries or questions feel free to ask.

Gameplay details

I am always available for any concerns you might have, my door is wide open. During the sessions we take a 5-10 minute break and we also do stars and wishes at the end. Whole point of this mini-campaign is to explore new mechanics brought into DND 5e, as well as play out your fantasy of being on the high seas. Most of the NPCs are quirky and have wacky voices, while also being quite endearing. The added mechanics are simple and easy to understand, letting the players get acclimated relatively quickly. All messaging is done through discord, character sheets are made on DNDbeyond and the game is played out on FoundryVTT.
