About the adventure

About me
Hello! I'm a professional and award-winning storyteller/actor/writer/GM/theatre maker, and recent cast member of The Twenty-Sided Tavern (the official D&D stage show) at the Sydney Opera House! I've been running games for beginner and experienced players for a decade, and run Bards For Hire where I write studio-quality theme songs for RPG characters, campaigns, and parties. Every session with Davey has been so much fun! I was so so nervous about learning how to play, especially with strangers but Davey is super kind and very good at pulling us in to the story. Davey seems genuinely excited with our characters and the world we built around them, which was so nice because I was so often get caught up in there being "right answers." Would definitely recommend and so excited for our next session!

We loved the idea of the interconnected One-Shots and were so happy with our game! Davey was an amazing storyteller and kept the game moving and ensured everyone had an opportunity to participate. We also enjoyed his 'Mini-Game' at the beginning to break the ice. It was so much fun and allowed us to immediately connect with our fellow Party members. Have already signed up for three more sessions!

One of my great joys and specialties as a game master is creating custom worlds based on what 𝘺𝘰𝘶 would most enjoy! In our session 0 and the lead-up to the game on Discord, we'll collectively do some extremely fun world-building games, and once we've created a world together, we'll make our characters!

Have a working microphone (and preferably a webcam) 3. We play the game! Nothing else needed, and we'll sort out the rest in our session 0.

Some entertainingly bad!) 🔥 Over a decade of GMing experience 📜 PDF copies of sourcebooks and supplemental materials as well as maps, updated world-building documents, and more!
Homebrew rules
Mechanically our game will use D&D 5e but with some exciting additional rules from a marvellous system called Good Society (made for Jane Austen role-play), which introduces exciting and easy-to-learn rules for courtly scandals, dramatic letter-writing, and character creation - similar to what's used in Dimension 20's "A Court of Fey & Flowers"! 🧚 To give a flavour of what to expect, instead of your character's usual ability scores, we'll be re-flavouring slightly to this!: S̶t̶r̶e̶n̶g̶t̶h̶ = Poise 🤺💥 D̶e̶x̶t̶e̶r̶i̶t̶y̶ = Subtelty 🎭🗡️ C̶o̶n̶s̶t̶i̶t̶u̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ = Reputation 🏛️👑 I̶n̶t̶e̶l̶l̶i̶g̶e̶n̶c̶e̶ = Wit 🖋️🔮 W̶i̶s̶d̶o̶m̶ = Sensibility 💐👒 C̶h̶a̶r̶i̶s̶m̶a̶ = Charm 🥂✨ TL;DR: We'll do some collective worldbuilding and choose which exciting additional rules we'll incorporate during our session 0!
