About the adventure
Congratulations on joining the growing team of the Grove of Maples. Canada’s first team of enhanced or otherwise ultra skilled citizens. The threats of extraplanar or supernatural unknown beings worldwide has become increasingly apparent. You are a part of the Canadian frontline defence against threats that law enforcement agencies do not have manpower or expertise to handle. Know that your bravery make our country safer to live from these threats. You will be expected to behave within a code of conduct while on duty. Failing to do so may result in termination of redleaf membership or in extreme cases incarceration within an enhanced prison facility.

About me
I've been running games since the early 90s. I have a pro-player mentality, which means I want your characters to succeed with their goals provided the dice gods see fit to allow them. I have run games for people aged 8-65, modules, campaigns, and my favorite homebrewed adventures. I love new players, and watching the sense of wonder and freedom light up the faces of people who may have forgotten how to play with their imagination. I am most certainly willing to teach new players the proverbial ropes, or grind through a tough tactical challenge for experienced players. I've run many homebrew campaigns, pre written campaigns, and so many one-shot adventures over the years it would be tough to put a number on it. I am not a professional voice actor, but I do change my voice for different NPCs. I am not a professional game designer, but, I do write my own adventures, hombrew settings, monsters, all kinds of oddball magic items. I run a fun game, with serious moments, quirky NPCs and serious laughs. Let's have some fun together rolling dice and creating memories for you and your friends. Rory is extremely creative at storytelling and creating situations. He was able to take our one-shot's random group of characters and able to fit them into his universe while making it feel natural for them to interact in the way they do. He's very understanding of the rules while still allowing for flexibility for us to be creative. Highly recommend Rory to everyone.

Such a funny and unexpected game! Creativity was highly encouraged, and he would explain the rules as many times as you needed with a smile. He made the game just hard enough that we had to work to get the win but it was so worth it in the end. Would definitely recommend for players of all levels!

the game was fun! The DM Knows their things for sure. even when me and my partner were nervous at first, there was no rushing or shoving. heck, he even approved some of the ideas my character had for some scenarios in enemies to help my other party members! On my partner's behalf for her half of the short campaign: "I love how smooth everything went. There was real peril but I never stopped having a good time!" "Also really generous with long/short rests in general. We've experienced back-to-back encounters with no rest and that almost resulted in total PK lmao!"
