About the adventure

The idea for this campaign came to me in a fever dream, and now I desperately need to share it with the world. The setting is the End of the World; the remaining dregs of a world that has been almost consumed in its entirety by the eldritch calamity known simply as the Void. This is by no means a cheerful setting, the few remaining survivors and remnants of civilisation reeking of despair and despondency. The architect of this apocalypse is the Lich; a mysterious mage with ambitions of annihilation. Their castle hangs over the once the remains of the once prosperous city of Luxenveld, once a centre of learning and trade, now little more than a rotting carcass teeming with Void-spawned abominations. One final day remains to confront the Lich, stop their ritual, and restore the world to what it once was. You and your friends have already journeyed together for some time, and have made a name for yourselves as heroes to the survivors who remain. You are their final hope. But as you climb the broken steps of the Lich's castle to face them, you can't shake this chilling sense of a deja vu. Hasn't this all happened before? In case it wasn't clear, this is a time-loop campaign; face the Lich, die, wake up, and do it all over again. But with every loop, you learn something new. Can you uncover the secrets of the Lich? Who are they, and why do they seem so intent on bringing an end to existence? What about your own past, the details of which seem hazier with each new death? And what of the stories of your fellow survivors, who grapple with their own mortality as they face the end of the world? This campaign is right for you if: - You're looking for a moody dark fantasy vibe that feels like a slow descent into madness. - Deep diving into a smaller setting where you get to explore its hidden depths in detail. - A small, eclectic cast of NPCs that you get to build deeper relationships with. Will you help them find hope in the face of annihilation? - Solving mysteries; each new day is a chance to obtain a piece of the wider puzzle. - Non-linear, sandbox adventures. Your time is precious, it's up to you to decide how you use it. - Tense, tactical combat where death matters. Just because you'll come back to life the next day doesn't mean their aren't consequences.

About me

Hi there! I'm Jackson (he/him), a shameless nerd who's based in Melbourne/Naarm and has been a Dungeon Master since 2019. I'm a chronic daydreamer who is constantly cooking up fantastical worlds in my head, and few things make me happier than being able to share those worlds with other people. TTRPGs are all about collaborative storytelling though, and having the worlds I come up with change in new and exciting ways in the hands of my players has been one of the most unexpected joys of being a DM.

It is an absolute delight to be a part of Jackson’s TTRPGs. I have been playing at their table for the better part of 4 years and have been having a ball. Jackson has built incredible worlds for the table to play in and interact with and always includes everyone in their stories. I love playing with Jackson, and will continue to play at their table for as long as I have a seat there

Jackson is an awesome DM! His creative world building skills are amazing and he loves incorporating players ideas. He’s super patient with beginners and has made learning DND so easy for me - could not recommend him more

Both my D&D (level 13) and Monsterhearts GM - Some of the best worldbuilding i’ve experienced in gameplay! Homebrewed, queer centric and lore-filled storylines that players can really sink their teeth into, while also embracing the antics and letting the characters decisions impact the campaign. Combat is actually challenging and requires a lot of strat and genuine risk which I absolutely love. Chaos supporter, MILF appreciator, and loves to maniacally laugh while rolling hit dice. If you want a well experienced GM, Jackson is it!

Jackson is fantastic! A powerful, intricate, storyteller who builds worlds that constantly amaze me. I’ve played with Jackson for about 3 years and he has gone from strength to strength. Always committed to safety and accessibility. I’ve laughed, cried, won, lost and have certain images and moments seared into my brain permanently thanks to Jackson’s craft. Could not recommend more.

Great all-round DM with highly adaptable style. Jackson can handle both beginners and DnD veterans with ease. Highly recommend.

Character creation
Creating your character

We'll go over character creation in Session 0; I like to take an iterative back-and-forth approach with my players where I ask questions to help them refine and flesh out their characters. For this campaign, we'll be keeping things simple with just the core 2024 DnD rules to keep things accessible for any inexperienced players.

What to expect
Preparing for the session

A Discord account for our video chat and a DND Beyond account for player sheets and maps will be required.

What Jackson brings to the table

I'm such a massive nerd for video game sound tracks, so will always have the perfect background music for the occasion playing during my sessions. If you like emotionally impactful storytelling, evocative narration, making connections with a small cast of fleshed out NPCs, complex and intriguing mysteries, and intense and tactical combat, this campaign should be a good fit for you.

Homebrew rules

We can discuss any house rules we may want to include in Session 0; the core DND rules aren't perfect, and I'm fairly flexible in this regard.

Safety
How Jackson creates a safe table

I'm a big believer in the critical importance of a Session 0; amongst other things, we'll use it as an opportunity to discuss safety measures, what sort of content we feel comfortable including, and ensuring we're all on the same page with our expectations.
