About me

I love seeing people's imaginations come together to make a moment that couldn't be faked, planned, or replicated. I'm too often absorbed in the thousands of ways a small decision can change a huge situation. I have a deep love for horror, satire, fantasy, sci-fi, and coming-of-age stories, and nothing keeps me on my toes like watching a lovable character ruin a good situation. When not DMing, I work as a research assistant, draft little stories, and try to keep up with my ever-growing family. Safety and mutual respect are a must for every table.

What a wonderfully descriptive DM! I completed a month long mini-campaign called Scribes of Old Sharn with DM Willmore set in Eberron. Had read a bunch of books in this setting and really wanted to play a game there. He did not disappoint! Lore wise everything was spot on, he even used a lot of sayings and slang I remember from the books. Setting aside, he is just such a kind person. Willing to listen to what someone is trying to do and help them figure out a way to do it. Each character was given many "cool" spotlight moments during the games and special attention to character development. My favorite thing about DM Willmore is his mastery of descriptive storytelling. Creating an immersive setting with words alone is no small task but he does it beautifully. The maps were great- don't get me wrong- but it was the way he described things that brought the story to life! We played around the holidays and he accommodated schedules really well. Hate to say it but I was a problem player scheduling wise, needed to push back our start date and asked for the sessions to occur earlier than advertised. He made it happen and didn't make a big deal of it. Oh- Also- The session zero was Very Interesting!

Great storytelling for the short time I could play, and did a great job giving my character a narratively satisfying exit when a schedule change forced me out of the game. Highly recommend!

Willmore gave us a great introductory campaign into the world of Eberron. He does great voices for the NPCs, and sets the mood with music from Spotify. The adventure was fun and a great introduction to DnD 5e. Would highly recommend. Hopefully our characters stories continue.

He is very knowledgeable about the rules. Enough so that he knows which ones he can change and/or let you break so you can do cool and creative things without derailing his whole campaign/breaking the game. One of the parts of DnD that is my favorite is that the whole game is pretty much a bunch of people playing make-believe at the same time with one person trying to keep everyone immersed and from interfering too much with each other. And this DM has been the best at that from all the one’s I’ve had. He also isn’t afraid to make encounters challenging to the point you could genuinely die (if that’s what you’re interested in, he won’t kill you for no reason and actively works against “dumb “ deaths), which in my opinion keeps the combat engaging and makes me think before I act. Overall 10/10 very creative and incredibly flexible with whatever you want to do.

Willmore is a great GM for players of all skill levels! I'm a beginner but he made my first time playing very approachable and really took the time to help familiarize me with the game mechanics. We also had more advanced players in the group and he did well at adjusting the game to suit everyone. He was very adaptable and loved taking our ideas and running with them to make the adventure ours. Also, amazing voice actor and storyteller!!
