About the adventure
The year is 1119, the 17th reigning year of the 38th Hantei Emperor... A catastrophe shall mark the year 1119, an event which shall strike mighty blow to one of the Great Clans and affect the lives of all within the Empire as a whole. The Great Tsunami, as it shall be known, arose from the Sea of Lady Sun, and with unrivaled fury, struck at the fertile lands of the Crane Clan one gentle autumn's morning. In it's wake, destruction and devastation soon thereafter followed... In the aftermath a call was sent to all denizens of the Crane provinces, be it samurai or heimin, the request for aid was great and the time to recover much of what had been lost was passing hastily. Every passing moment bore an incalculable weight... Thus samurai have been summoned. To wrought aid to the suffering peoples of the Crane within these dire times. Shall you answer the call? ~~~ This is an introductory adventure to Legend of the Five Rings 5th Edition, individuals from whole range of experience (beginner to experienced) are welcome to join.

About me
Storytelling has always been a passion of mine. Caught within the stirrings of a narrative, one can lose themselves and be spirited away to worlds beyond one's own imagination. Within my 20+ years of engaging TTRPGs I have had the pleasure and enjoyment of being audience to the captivating stories told by my fellow players. It is of little surprise that it is for that very reason that I have come to love being a GM. As a GM I am patient with players; both newcomers and the experienced. I always do my best to provide as much support to the players as I am able. It is a means to facilitate their needs and requirments making them as comfortable as possible to enjoy the gaming experience. Being hospitable breeds comfort and comfort is a key component to an enjoyable evening enagaging a TTRPG. I enagage the players with a means to immerse them within the scene. This will often be done via: emphasizing the tone of the scene with vivid depictions, impersonating the various NPCs which players encounter, delving into the setting that the players may be better acquainted, etc. Thus, if you'd like to sit at my table for an immersive experience please let me know.

Creating your character
We shall cover character creation during session 0. Although, if a player is ambitious to create their character before the session that be okay. All player characters shall start at School Curriculum 1 with no additonal xp. Characters should be of the Crane or aligned to the Crane.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
•Mic is required. •Webcam is preferred, although not required. •An adventurous desire to solve the mystery. As a introductory adventure, knowledge of the rules and lore isn't required.

How justjarn creates a safe table
Adventure shall last over 4-5 sessions -not including session 0. We shall be using Discord for communication and Foundry for gameplay. No experience required. There will be a heavy emphasis on role-play, as we delve into the mystery which claims the port village, although, some combat shall be observed as the climax piques towards it's dramatic conclusion. Session 0 will cover introductions, expectations, safety tools, a shallow dive into the setting and lore and we shall cover character creation. Session 0 for all players shall be free.
