Planescape: Turn of Fortune’s Wheel avatar

Planescape: Turn of Fortune’s Wheel

This adventure is more for the fans of "Planescape: Torment" or anyone curious about the D&D Multiverse while not minding having a lot of character deaths. It's a decent adventure that is comprehensive with introducing players to the city of Sigil as a hub and getting a taste of all the major planes with the Outlands and the portals they are connected to. However, it does feel lacking in the part of actually GOING to these different planes for any special quests to help solve the predicament the players are facing. But it can be easily remedied with a DM with good ideas on how to use the tools and lore provided by the book set this module was a part of. Prep for the adventure can also be intimidating for new players as you would need three "incarnations" for them to switch to for each time they die. Otherwise, it's a good start for anyone who wants to have a campaign setting that delves into ALL of D&D lore and its different flavors. The casino was also a nice touch as a way to take a break and earn magic items for some of the challenges ahead!

Pathfinder 1e

This game takes the glory days of D&D's 3 - 3.5 Edition era and perfects it! I wouldn't recommend this to people who are new to D&D or ttrpgs in general, but it certainly is the best way for veterans to experience the nostalgia of the system and gather as many resources you want to build the features and tone for the characters you want to make! Try it out and compare it to other editions of D&D and Pathfinder to see how you like it! Depending on what you're looking for, you might find this is one of the best choices out there!

I've played this as a huge chapter in a more massive campaign for friends and enjoyed every minute! This gothic horror adventure expands the original 1983 module, which turns the entire visit to the lands of Barovia and Castle Ravenloft into a sandbox. It's a real treat for those who like stories with vampires, werewolves, ghostly encounters, and haunted houses! The best thing about this adventure is that it has a mechanic that makes it rare to have two runs of it be exactly the same, making it a brand new experience each time and giving the sense of a cycle in the story! For those experiencing this dark fantasy tale for the first time, you will find this is a great introduction to the world of "Ravenloft" and what a horrible place some places can be when evil rules them. You may not even find your journey to be that of heroism but of escape from a hell that isn't your own. Despite that, get your garlic, holy water, and silvered weapons because you are in for one of the best adventures in the game's history!

This is the granddaddy of all TTRPGs, referenced in pop culture through the decades, and the inspiration for many video games, like the Baldur's Gate Trilogy and the first Final Fantasy! Drawing its own inspiration from J.R.R. Tolkien's works and further developed by other writers, this is often the first thing people think of when rolling dice and having an imaginary journey into a fantasy world. Thanks to recent editions, it's now very easy to get into, and it's a great introduction to TTRPGs as a gaming genre! The best thing about it is that the game is different for each table, with different themes and play styles you can try for your tastes and new experiences! This keeps it from getting stale and allows players to find a dungeon master (game master) who's a good fit to help you go on an adventure, roll some dice with new friends, and have fun!

Kass | The Paradox DM

Kass is just a delight and someone I look forward to gaming with in the nights after a long day of work! She will be up front with the ground rules you will need to know for her adventures and she is flexible with with what kind of characters you bring to her table, even if they can get a little chaotic. She allows a lot of roleplay and exploration to take in the game and its world at your own pace, which is good for lore seekers or anyone wanting to solve simple mysteries. The Kenku bot she uses also adds a nice touch of atmosphere to relax with while dungeon crawling! I highly recommend her for anyone who wants a night to hang out with strangers to roll some dice and tell a story!
