About me
Hello there! I’m David of the North, a forever GM who’s been rolling dice since 5th grade. Over the years, I’ve run a wide range of games—from classic D&D (BECMI) and Star Wars D6 to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness to Vampire: The Masquerade 2nd Edition. These days, my favorite systems are Dragonbane and Vaesen, but I’ve explored a whole spectrum of games in between. Ask me! I specialize in interactive storytelling that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration. Whether you're brand new to TTRPGs or a veteran adventurer, my games are all about immersion, character-driven choices, and—most importantly—having a great time together. Oh, and a good fight or two. Outside of gaming, I’m either riding my bike, in the mosh pit, or chilling with my dude, Jonesy the Space Cat. I can't wait to tell some new stories with you! 🫵🏻 Yeah, you with the face.

Attended a webinar hosted by Matthew about tips on bringing horror and suspense to your game. I got some useful info and participated in a fun talk. He was generous enough with his time that we went much longer then the originally listed time. Easy to talk to and refreshingly blunt, I am now following him.....on the site, not in real life.
I played with Johnnie using the Dragonbane system. It was a fantastic instructional session, where he encouraged our RP and ideas. Johnnie did a good job leading us through the rules of the game system and the VTT Alchemy. He provided an inclusive and safe environment while providing the tools for us to use, in case anyone felt they needed them. I would play again with him.
Played with Michal during the Mirth and Mayhem Intro to Dragonbane event. Michal provided a welcoming environment with pregen characters. We used the Alchemy platform. The game was fun though I was hoping for more of a one-shot as advertised as this adventure was more suited for a long play, which we did not complete. Michal explained the system to us and was ready for answers to our questions and provided some handouts. However, some tech difficulties either on the GM's end or Alchemy took away some of the momentum and RP experience. Despite a few setbacks, I found the game engaging with a good group.
