About me
Hello there! I’m David of the North, a forever GM who’s been rolling dice since 5th grade. Over the years, I’ve run a wide range of games—from classic D&D (BECMI) to 5th Ed. Lately I'm more drawn to small publishers and I have run Dragonbane, Vaesen, Mork Borg, Alien, Shadowdark, and Call of Cthulhu with plans for Outgunned Adventure & Fabula Ultima soon. What can I say? I like to play. I specialize in interactive storytelling that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration. Whether you're brand new to TTRPGs or a veteran adventurer, my games are all about immersion, character-driven choices, and—most importantly—having a great time together. Oh, and a good fight or two...or three. Outside of gaming, I’m either riding my bike, in the mosh pit, or chilling with my dude, Jonesy the Space Cat. 🐈 I can't wait to tell some new stories with you! 🫵🏻 Yeah, you with the face!

As of this review I am 4 sessions in with Pedro GMing a WH40k campaign. As a Forever GM, I only get to be a player on rare occasions, so I have to be very choosy on where I'm going to spend my time and money. After playing in a number of introductory one-shots over the past few months, I have finally landed in one that I hope runs for awhile. Pedro's style suits me very well. He is patient, a good instructor, plays rules-as-written but also knows when it's appropriate to bend them if it makes sense or adds to the experience. He knows and makes good use of the VTT that we are using, even though it's my favourite, he has helped me to navigate its complexities in a patient and calm manner. What I like most about his style is the absolute freedom that our group has been given in navigating the adventure, tackling obstacles and developing our characters. We are so immersed that the PC's have even been acting out scenes when Pedro isn't even present! That's a GM who inspires. 👍🏻👍🏻
Ande gave an informative and engaging tutorial for the Fabula Ultima system. He provided clear instructions and restrictions on what the tutorial covered. As a result I'm very interested in pursuing more sessions or even running my own. This was also the easiest integration that I have had with the Foundry VTT thanks to Ande. Shout out to my fellow players who immediately gelled with one another. Good game.
Attended a webinar hosted by Matthew about tips on bringing horror and suspense to your game. I got some useful info and participated in a fun talk. He was generous enough with his time that we went much longer then the originally listed time. Easy to talk to and refreshingly blunt, I am now following him.....on the site, not in real life.
