About Pedro-GM

I have been playing RPGs since I was 10 years old, when my older brother invited me to join one of his games. I fell in love with roleplaying almost immediately and I have never stopped playing since. I studied Game Development and Film Production. I love writing, traveling, and playing games of all kinds, with a special place in my heart for RPGs. You will quickly notice that I am very creative and energetic, which naturally led me to the GM seat. Building worlds and crafting stories is a true passion of mine. Working together with you to create a story that you will always fondly remember is one of the most rewarding parts of the experience for me. My friends and players often describe me as a diplomatic and thoughtful GM who genuinely cares about everyone’s enjoyment at the table. I am a good listener, and I always aim to create a welcoming, fun, and engaging experience for everyone. I lived in Dublin for three years, where I studied Film Production and English. I have now been GMing for 27 years now, and I GM for people from all over the world for more than seven years now.

I became a GM because

I love creating stories and building worlds with my players, and I love game design. So GMing has always been a pleasure for me. When I was a kid I didn't knew how the system worked, so I created my own systems, eventually I got older and started enjoying the amazing systems we know today.

My favorite books are

Brave New World, 1984, Musashi, Shogun, All Quiet on the Western Front, Steppenwolf and The Hobbit.

When I'm not running games I'm...

Editing, prepping for a session, playing RPGs, writting books and cooking.

How Pedro-GM runs games

I’m very flexible in my approach to GMing. Roleplay is essential to me and where I place most of my focus, but I also enjoy tactical combat. Depending on the system and what the group is looking for, I adapt my style to match the tone and expectations of the campaign. I love worldbuilding and creating intense situations and dilemmas for you to face. I care a lot about collaborative storytelling too, the way you help shape the narrative and add depth and meaning to the world. Because of that, I’ll always pay close attention to what interests you most and make sure those elements are reflected in the story. One of the aspects I value most is character progression. I want you to feel that your character evolves not only in power, but also in personality, relationships, and personal story arcs.

My games focus on...

Narrative is always important to me, whether you are in combat or in a social situation. I will always encourage you to roleplay your actions and decisions, and I will describe scenes in vivid detail to help you fully immerse yourself in the moment.

When it comes to voices

I love doing voices and creating unique personalities for the NPCs at my table. Sometimes you might find yourself intrigued by a simple peasant because of the way I portray them, or despise a villain. Bringing characters to life through voice and personality is one of my favorite parts of GMing.

Pedro-GM's ideal table

I’m happy to play with all types of players, whether you are more introverted or extroverted, combat focused or roleplay focused. I strive to be inclusive, so however you identify, you will always be treated with care and respect at my table. At my tables, the overall vibe is light and fun. That does not mean there will not be intense roleplay, challenging battles, or tense survival situations. It simply means that I enjoy sharing laughs with you and making sure everyone feels comfortable and works together as a team.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table

Mystery is something I always love to weave into my stories. I enjoy making you question why things are happening the way they are, or why an NPC acted the way they did. Uncovering hidden motives and slowly revealing the truth is part of the fun.

I love it when a player

Feel free to interact openly with the NPCs, the world, and the story. Together, creating memorable and unexpected moments that make the experience unique. Ccreate a flawed character. Nobody is perfect, right? Flaws bring depth, drama, and meaningful growth.
