About me
Started out LARPing in the SCA in high school and text based roleplaying in forums and chat rooms in the early days of the internet. Eventually found a few TTRPG's in college (mostly DND3e) before losing touch with roleplaying for quite awhile. Really looking forward to getting back into it and having a hobby that I'm not trying to make into a "hustle" finally!

Anna is undoubtedly an experienced DM, with good knowledge of the rules and the ability to apply them with varying degrees of force depending on the situation. She got the measure of my character pretty quickly and gave me an excellent hook to draw me right into the game, despite the campaign already being several modules in and other players well established. She excels at a dungeon crawl, tracking moving parts, enemies, statuses, etc and handling tech flukes quickly and efficiently. She makes it easy to keep up with the game even when I've had to miss a few sessions, by promptly providing detailed recaps of each session in the Discord server. I'd like to experience her in a less combat/more RP game sometime in the future.
Mega has an uncanny ability to build vast, comprehensive, immersive worlds that draw you and your character in and make you never want to leave. She is great at setting up a safe and comfortable roleplaying environment that is especially friendly to newcomers and players who have perhaps had negative experiences in the past. But Mega also has a pretty comprehensive knowledge of the rules of DnD to allow more experienced players to immerse themselves seamlessly in really fun worlds (be they one shots or campaigns) without getting too entangled in the details. All in all a competent and fun DM you will be privileged to play with!
I was looking for a GM running an "intro to DnD" session friendly for complete newbies despite having a tiny bit of experience myself. I was looking for someone who knows the rules so well they don't need to reference anything, who can also explain them clearly and easily, and who knows when to apply them and when to bend them. That person is DM Bob Yo! He packed our two hour session full of info and opportunities for us to make decisions, take actions, ask questions, and feel like we were actually playing. We spent half the time building simple characters, and half the time playing. The playtime was incredibly well balanced and well paced - a little roleplay, a little environmental interaction, a little combat, a little of everything! And when the players started to get stuck he swooped in and got us moving again with no awkwardness, like only a pro can do. The intro session was also an excellent taster for what longer campaigns can be like; I found myself wondering about that [spoiler] thing all evening and wanting to go back and find out more! I'm usually pretty good at giving constructive critical feedback as well as praise but honestly I have nothing critical to say. If you have a chance to play with DM Bob, I hope you will take it!
