Played 1 session

Dirk was great at making the game easy and fun, it really felt like a, "What if these teenage kids were left with the aftermath of the death of a Slayer?" while still making the plot his own and adding to the story of the world. I might even run with this idea in the future because I think it has a lot of potential. Dirk really get the story moving, didn't make the investigation feel obscured while still letting us follow the leads without it feeling like we could see the rails he was putting down as the train moved on its course. (I say that with love, because one-shots like what he ran for me kind of need a little railroading to stick to a timeframe. He didn't make it seem like obvious or prohibitive railroading though, and there is a difference IMHO.) I like how he used the system to emulate an established lore world without it feeling like either one was lacking, and earning player currency (Willpower) with dramatic failures (ie: fumbles) was fun and were a great risk/reward idea.

New review

I have really enjoyed playing with Federico. He's really adapted well to what his players, especially probably myself, have thrown his way in the course of play. He's created a fun, and engaging world that ties into established lore while not staying slavishly loyal to it. I'm really excited for the next session and to see where it goes.
