About me
I wish I was dark and edgy but am too drawn to bad puns and wacky backstories to pull it off. My creative awakening came when I accepted I'm more Grady Hendrix than Stephen King—and that's okay. One time I carried a seagull with a broken wing around Asbury Park for fifty minutes until I found a pet shop willing to look after her, even though she bit me at least seven times, and that animal handling is what I picture when a character just barely succeeds on a check.

Jacob builds a world that is rich and vivid without being overwrought with exposition. He has a great ear for tone and balances moments of humor with an overall serious setting, and he adapted combat and pacing to our unique session. Strong GM with a thoughtful world makes for a good time all around—fully recommend and hope to play more in the future.
DM Chook is approachable and welcoming. The game vibe was friendly from the start—as someone who's often awkward in new situations, I felt comfortable in the group, both to talk and ask questions. The preparation expectations were clear and broad enough to allow for a range of skill/experience. The session was structured and paced without being restrictive, and DM Chook had a very "no one's ever done it that way—awesome!" reaction every time someone tried a weird angle. I had a great time and would definitely play at his table again.
