About Still
While I was looking for an activity to spend time with my family, especially my 2 sons, that was away from electronics we stumbled upon this wonderful new hobby of TTRPGs. Initially the rules seemed intimidating but, with a bit of research and some helpful advice I began writing my own Homebrew adventures and now I'm hooked on writing, reading and adapting stories for groups. Typically, I DM for groups of 4-6 in person but I would like to expand this to include online resources. My passion is for families and relationships to grow through overcoming challenges and learning to communicate through collective storytelling and common interests. I know that building that bond with kids can be difficult for parents and my hope is to foster an easy, fun and exciting way to strengthen a family bond, and make new friends along the adventure. All are welcome to join, however, to encourage those whom I have a passion for teaching, my intent is to provide **FREE GM SERVICES** IF YOU MEET ONE OF THE FOLLOWING PREREQUISITES - FULL HOUSEHOLD FAMILY UNIT (EX. How Still runs games
Every session will be personally adapted to the group that is involved. Before each session 0 each player will be asked to fill out a questionnaire to help develop this tailored experience in every game. I recommend, but don't require, video during each session so that I can maintain a real-time adjustment for each player's responses. I am less interested in getting every rule correct as I am with maintaining the immersion of the game in progress. Roleplaying, Exploration, Storytelling, Combat and Humor will be scaled per group. Typically, the material used will be written or read from a PG-13 rating with an avoidance (see "lines and veils" under the safety heading) of topics that may be triggering or uncomfortable to the group. I am comfortable adapting any material used to either a younger or more mature audience. This is your adventure and your story. Fun is whatever you decide, and I am here to foster that environment with ambience, visual aids and storytelling elements.

My games focus on...
bringing a welcoming environment to people who may be intimidated to try something new. I create a world for the players to peak behind every curtain to discover the story yet told. At it's core TTRPGs are whatever you want to make it. Through my eyes, if the players are having fun, then so am I.
Rules are...
While flexible initially it will depend on each group dynamic. Adjustments will be made between sessions if needed to ensure that the game continues to flow smoothly. My role is not ULTIMATE RULE MAN (though that could be fun), I am a GM to facilitate a fun & challenging environment for each group.
Still's ideal table
Players that fit well at the table will be those who are ready for an adventure. Even if you are unsure about the adventure at hand. You may feel like you need to turn back the whole party to return and get your handkerchief, but I assure you, the adventure lies ahead and not behind. If you think you can, or you think you can't, you're right. There is no growth in comfort and no comfort in growth. Content will be somewhere between The Iron Giant movie to the first Matrix movie but can be adjusted per group. Humor, role playing, creativity and teamwork are highly welcome and have, on more than one occasion, been rewarded at the table.

I love it when a player
Discovers for the first time that TTRPGs are very unlike a video game. The limitless wonder that first strikes a new player when they try something unique is an absolutely brilliant feeling for a GM. Push, pull, prod, or even poke at the world that is built. I can't wait to see what you find!
I think metagaming...
Is ok. While we try our best to create a theatre of the mind we always bring something more with us. I only ask that you respect the heart of what we are all trying to do. Magicians only succeed because we have chosen to participate by suspending our doubts, if only for a few moments.
