Ze'ev is awesome! They value creativity over all else; rule of cool lovers, you'll find what you need with this GM! Their NPCs are all awesome, developed, and unique -- even NPCs that were only made a day or so before sessions feel like fully fleshed out characters! Ze'ev themself is also super kind, friendly, communicative, and all-around a great person. If you want a GM that has awesome fight scenes in roleplay-focused campaigns, who can bring both fun and drama to the plot with mysteries and plot twists afoot, I recommend Ze'ev 100%!
Thomas was very friendly and open to communication, and I had a nice time chatting with him and the group. He also cares a lot about his players and their comfortability and boundaries. During actual play, his GMing lacked somewhat. His maps seemed pointless as there were no NPC, enemy, or player tokens. Even if he were just using them to help the player imagine the scene, the maps were too blurry to make out anything other than basic shapes and colours. During the entire one shot, I felt like I was being pulled around aimlessly, and never really got a good gist of the story he was trying to tell. The NPCs we encountered were bland, with no real personality, no acting or emotion put behind them and their actions, not even any emphasis on any parts of their speaking. The same tone of voice throughout the entire one shot eventually became grating, and it was difficult to tell the different between him speaking as a GM and him speaking as a character, or even if the vibe of the scene changed at all. The one shot was also incredibly disorganised, as well as his discord server where he puts all of the information. It seems like he had briefly glanced over the rules --- I'm perfectly okay with a GM new to a system needing a bit of time to catch on, but this genuinely seemed like he had no idea what he was doing. The end of the session was confusing to say the least, and didn't really feel like an ending at all; the only reason I knew it was the end was because he directly stated it. Otherwise, I would have never been able to tell. After being dragged through loose plot point by loose plot point, I was at least expecting the one shot to end with a bang, or some big fight or unsolved mystery unravelling as they typically tend to. But nothing happened. We showed up, did some rolls, and the one shot ended. I guess I expected a bit better since the session was delayed for over a month, and the time waiting for it only built up my anticipation for what turned out to be a subpar --- albeit not terrible, one shot. All in all, it was a bit disappointing, but seems appropriate for a free game.
