I've been playing RPGs for decades, and Josh is one of my all-time favorite GMs. He creates an amazingly detailed, subtle world with a rich collection of places and a compelling cast of NPCs which we then introduce our characters to. His NPCs are unique and believable, with their own personalities, goals, and idiosyncrasies, and if you work against their interests they react in delightfully character-appropriate ways. Even though there is an undercurrent of very real horror in this campaign, it is nonetheless one of the most comedic campaigns I have played in; this is because Josh is particularly skilled at keeping the PCs in trouble in an engaging and often amusing way: social misunderstandings, characters with conflicting goals, and occasional failures given an amusing twist. Josh also encouraged us to develop our own NPCs and introduce them into the campaign. These added further color, depth and comedy to the campaign. Some of our roleplaying ideas are of course better than others,

Wojtek did an excellent job running a Tales from the Loop mini-campaign for our group. I felt that he really captured the spirit of the game and encouraged us to develop our characters and the relationships among our characters. He encouraged us to have our own personal plot ideas connected to our characters' problems and goals, and then he developed our ideas and gave them some interesting twists that improved them. His rulings were fair and well reasoned, but he was also willing to change things when we were interested in refocusing play. I really appreciated his flexibility. One of the scenarios he ran was of his own design, and we didn't even know until he told us at the end; it was a similar quality of the other official scenarios. He also added connections between the scenarios that unified our sense of building a story through time and relationships with NPCs that and not just solving independent mysteries in a static world. I hope to play with him again. I absolutely recommend

Zachary did a great job bringing a sense of investigation to D&D. He had created nice visual backdrops to help the world feel more believable. We had a weird group of PCs, and he seemed to enjoy the humor in that as much as we did. It was a fun scenario. I especially enjoyed that there were things going on that were NOT connected to the mystery so that we had to sort through things and understand them. Thank You.

D'Antonio did a great job building scenes and keeping things going. He also sprang several surprises on us, which was entertaining. He had a knack for using rolls as a springboard for storytelling, so rolls contributed to the story actively. He was patient with us as we learned a new system. I hope our paths cross again. Thank You.

Joshua is an especially patient GM. Two of us were a bit slow learning to use Alchemy, and Joshua cheerfully explained how to do a few things repeatedly with sincere good humor. I felt like we were free to try whatever we wished, but Joshua was on our side enough that he would point out risks to certain actions. Joshua set the stage and put our characters in situations where they were in trouble, a nice recipe to a good story. He also made sure everyone had their time in the spotlight. Thank You.
