Paul did a great job of creating the feeling of being in this world. He described the environment well, and his NPCs evoked a real sense of the social hierarchy that's key to this setting. I hope I'm able to play with him again. He was patient and helpful with the inevitable technological snafus. He also encouraged our own role-playing. Thank You.

Andrea the Italian Storyteller

Andrea is a superb GM who I highly recommend. He creates evocative settings, believable NPCs, and compelling stories. He weaves character backgrounds into his story and narrates dice rolls so they become part of the drama. He actively encourages good roleplay and player/character input into the story. He seems to be delighted when we surprise him. He also knows the rules well and how to use those rules to enrich the story - without being rule-bound: story and roleplay are still the focus that the rules support. Andrea also explains those rules well. When he runs a prewritten scenario, he makes it his own, and when he designs his own scenario, it's worthy of publication. I've been playing since the 70s, and Andrea is one of the finest GMs I have ever had the privilege of playing with.

Longshot

Longshot is a superb GM. His NPCs were each unique and believable with their own personalities, voices, and concerns. His descriptions of the setting made it concrete, believable, and compelling. Longshot also reacted well to our various ideas and shenanigans. There was a mystery to solve, and it was subtle but manageable. This was my first time playing Dragon Warriors, and the setting is based in historical Britain making it dark and convincing. Using magic can get you burned at the stake. Outsiders are viewed suspiciously.... I enjoyed the rules, which made me think of a OD&D version of 1st edition WFRP: grim and perilous with simpler rules and without the (to me) overpowered characters in 4e. I look forward to playing with Longshot again. Highly Recommended.

Sonder

Played 4 sessions

Sonder is a superb GM/Keeper. Her games are heavy on roleplay, then worldbuilding, then problem solving. Though there is plenty of tension, there is little to no combat (but that may depend on the system). This suits my own tastes perfectly. Not only does she build a convincing world, but she also encourages players to contribute to that creative process. We've always had a new player at the table so I've had the pleasure of hearing Sonder explaining rules more than once, clearly and concisely; it's a beautiful thing to hear. She understands the rules well and helps us understand them, too. Most importantly, she uses the rules to build a story while ensuring that we contribute to that story. Her characters' voices are subtle variations of her own voice, but those voices are, nonetheless, distinct and compelling. I found myself looking forward to her characterizations of new individuals. She encouraged roleplay at the table whether it was connected to the main story or just playful banter. Further, she is patient with and encouraging to new players. HIGHLY recommended.

Robby is a very good Loremaster. He is well prepared, even-tempered, and patient. He makes a real effort to give his NPCs unique personalities and to create a real sense of place. I found his Middle-Earth believable and compelling. Robby also knows the rules. If something obscure came up, he made an intelligent ruling and looked into the details later. He also explained the rules nicely and created a feeling of openness and acceptance in our group. I look forward to crossing paths with him again. Recommended.
