About Josh
Hey there, adventurers! My name’s Josh, and I’ve been crafting worlds, weaving tales, and leading parties through danger and drama since 2012. I started my GM journey with D&D 4th Edition, but my love of storytelling quickly expanded to include a variety of systems — D&D 5e, Kids on Bikes, Kids on Brooms, Marvel Multiverse RPG, and many others. My tables are all about story and character first. I’m a big believer in “roleplay over roll play” — the dice matter, sure, but it’s the decisions, dialogue, and depth of your characters that truly shape the world around them. I want every session to feel like an evolving story arc where your heroes grow, stumble, triumph, and leave a mark on the world — and on you as players. I don’t rely on voices, but my NPCs each come with their own quirks, personalities, and heart — because even the barkeep deserves to feel real. Whether we’re chasing eldritch horrors, unraveling a teen mystery, or facing down supervillains in the Marvel universe, I’m here to make sure the story feels alive, cinematic, and unforgettable. I’ve also had the pleasure of being an Action Ranger with Hunter’s Entertainment, running their narrative-rich systems (Kids on Bikes, Alice Is Missing, Outbreak: Undead, and more) for virtual conventions. Those experiences shaped my approach to GMing — immersive stories, emotional moments, and player-driven narratives are what I live for. If you’re looking for a GM who values collaboration, creativity, and storytelling that sticks with you long after the dice stop rolling, then I’d love to welcome you to my table. Let’s make something memorable together.

I became a GM because
I became a GM because I love telling stories that make people feel. It’s my outlet for the absurd, the heartfelt, and the epic—worlds built together, not alone. GMing keeps the kid in me alive, still joyfully lost in make-believe with friends.
My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be
D&D 5e for endless adventure, Kids on Bikes for heartfelt chaos and small-town mystery, and Marvel Multiverse RPG because even on a desert island, I’d still want to save the world in spandex.
My favorite shows/movies are
Give me a good mix of monsters, misfits, and mayhem. Buffy, Angel, and Hill House for the emotion, Peacemaker and MCU for the fun, LotR for the epic vibes, Last of Us for the heartbreak, and Scream and This Is the End for when I just need to laugh while the world’s ending.
How Josh runs games
I’m a roleplay-first GM through and through. My favorite part of running games is watching stories grow organically from the choices you make—where your characters don’t just exist in the world, they change it. I love exploring who your heroes become when faced with tough decisions, the kind that leave emotional marks and lasting memories. Combat absolutely has its place at my table, but it’s never filler—it serves the story, not the other way around. I want every encounter, whether it’s a tense negotiation, a hard-fought battle, or a quiet moment by the campfire, to matter. My goal is to make sure you walk away feeling like you didn’t just play through an adventure—you lived one.

If my games were movies, they’d be directed by Mike Flanagan—a mix of heart, scares, and twists that hit you right in the feels. Expect humor, suspense, and intense moments, all stitched together into a story that sticks with you long after the dice stop rolling.

My games focus on roleplay and character growth, with the story driven by your choices and emotions. Expect a mix of humor, intensity, fun, and horror—I love weaving in chilling moments for players who enjoy a little thrill at the table.
Josh's ideal table
My table is a space for collaboration, creativity, and kindness. I expect everyone to show respect, compassion, and a shared excitement for the story we’re telling together. There’s no room for hate, tension, or drama here—we’re all here to have fun and lose ourselves in the adventure. I love using music and atmosphere to bring scenes to life and set the tone for what’s unfolding. If a rules question pops up mid-session, I’ll make a fair call in the moment so the story keeps flowing, and we’ll revisit the details after the game. My focus is always on keeping things immersive, engaging, and, most importantly, fun.
