I played in Gingey's game for over a year and had an absolute blast! He created a super unique and interesting narrative that he weaved directly from our character backstories, kept us guessing the entire time and created super unique and interesting monsters for our combats. He was very open to crafting a unique character and suggested really cool things that he had found in a 3rd party book and worked to create an amazing character narrative for all of us to enjoy. He's super easy going and was amazing at rolling with our group's wild improv for over a year. We threw just about every curveball in the books at him and he rolled with it, adapted and we had an amazing time. I highly recommend Gingey's custom storytelling games, he proves that something completely homebrewed can be amazing and as a fellow DM, I learned a lot from him and look forward to joining his games again in the future!

Keilan is a phenomenal GM and storyteller. He goes out of his way to ensure that your character's story is actively involved in the overall plot of the game, so you go from your character being an avatar or vessel from which you witness a story, to playing an active role in the game with real story and plot points that tie directly back to a character that you have helped to design and continue to play in a collaborative storytelling environment. These past few months I have been overwhelmingly impressed with Keilan's attention to detail, ability to improvise, his storytelling taking the approach of a television series where there is an overall story, but individual story arcs that highlight certain characters in the campaign, their strengths, weaknesses, but most importantly, ties back to their backstory. The impact of this level of effort from Keilan is that your character feels like they are PART of the story. Just like you would with a character you enjoy in a story you're reading or watching. THIS is what makes Keilan a great GM, and what many other GMs I have played with over the past 25 years miss. On top of this level of detail and care that goes into his storytelling, Keilan does a great job providing a soundtrack that adds a ton of depth to the environment and the story beats, and he just does it with his own playlist and sound board. The first session, he created a Star Wars text scrawl, a custom droid voice, and there were cool sound effects in combat that were appropriate and didn't detract from the game. He also wasted no time switching tracks to back the rapidly evolving scenes in his game so it didn't break any immersion and didn't interrupt the flow of the game. He's also down to play with the rule of cool and will let you do just about anything you can come up with if you can roll well enough for it. This is where his ability to think on his feet and improvise really shines. Some GMs will make a request impossible behind the scenes, some will just tell you that you can't do something, others will make adversaries unkillable or force you down a railroad story path, but not Keilan. Whatever you can throw at him, he's able to pivot, navigate the adventure successfully, and keep us moving along an overarching storyline. I seriously cannot say enough good things about my experience with Keilan. I am a GM myself and I joined StartPlaying to look for other GMs that I could learn from, and I would say that because of that, I have high standards for a GM that should be running paid games, and I am happy that I found Keilan. I plan on playing with him for many, many more months in the future, and if you have the opportunity to join one of his games, you definitely should.

**Review for DM Leland:** I recently had the pleasure of playing in a Curse of Strahd campaign run by Leland, and I cannot recommend him enough as a Dungeon Master. He did an exceptional job setting the macabre and atmospheric setting of Barovia, with vivid descriptions that brought the horror elements to life. From the eerie mists to the foreboding ambiance, every scene was filled with a chilling sense of dread and suspense. Leland was also incredibly open to creative character ideas and made a genuine effort to incorporate backstories into the game from the very beginning. This personalized touch greatly enriched the experience, making every session feel immersive and meaningful. He is always open to questions and works with players to explain rules, ensuring everyone understands and enjoys the game. His cinematic combat descriptions are particularly fun, adding a dynamic and exciting element to encounters. Additionally, Leland uses a voice changer for special effects, enhancing the atmosphere in ways that aren’t always present in an online D&D game. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the table!
